I'm very glad I bought this...
This dolly is an excellent piece of equipment. It folds up flat and small and easily fits into the trunk of a car small car. It would also fit easily in the back seat, or on the floor in the back seat. It can be lifted with one arm, so it is very easy to get it in and out of the trunk. To use it, you simply pull down on the platform which causes the wheels to pop into place. Then press a button and extend the handle and you're ready to go. It takes literally 5 seconds to go from totally flat to ready for use. We moved a 20" tube TV today. This thing weighed a ton and was pretty deep. I was concerned that the base of the TV would extend too far beyond the edge of the platform (and possibly fall off), but the platform on this hand-truck is very deep. The base of the TV extended right to the edge of the platform with none of it hanging in the air, so that gives you an idea of how deep it is. Two of us were able to roll the TV up three flights of stairs very easily. We didn't even tie the TV down... we just set it on the dolly and rolled. One of us walked behind the TV to stabilize it when going over bumps and stairs, and I pulled it up the stairs with one hand. It was a piece of cake. I was amazed at how easy it was, and couldn't help wondering why I didn't buy this years ago. Overall the feel of this dolly is very sturdy. It should last a lifetime with typical use. The wheels are a very smooth rubber/plastic and they are also very light gray so they won't mar floors. The rubber is solid (no air) but it also has a little give to it, so it rolls very smoothly. I rolled it over our hardwood floors without the slightest concern. It rolls as smooth as glass. I'm very glad I bought this hand-truck. I can't think of a single negative. Whoever designed this thought of everything.

Amazing, solidly-built folding dolly!
After about 15 years with a previous, falling-apart, folding dolly, I finally got off the cheap couch and decided to purchase this bad boy. The other reviews were very helpful with my decision. I can tell you that without a doubt, this dolly lives up to its reputation. Heavy-duty, solid construction is all there. It's a bit on the heavy side, but you can tell it's not going to ever fall apart on you. I love how the wheels expand outward on their own when I pull down on the metal plate, and then retract when I push it back up. They stay in a closed position well while transporting the dolly on its own. On my previous dolly, the wheels had to be manually extended, and they never stayed retracted on their own. Speaking of the wheels on this dolly, they are big and offer a smooth "ride" for all of my heavy and bulky equipment. The whole thing just feels good. I actually saved $10 by purchasing this "used" on the Amazon returns section. Honestly, it's no different than new. I've bought many things over the years this way and have saved a bundle. Yes, I definitely recommend this dolly for your valuable equipment - and your back!

Awesome Handcart for Portable On-the-Go Use
I love the fact that this handcart is able to fold-up and occupies little space when not in use. I picked the heavy duty unit because I wanted something durable that would last. I have used this cart to carry 4-cases of paper as well as cases of books without fail. I enjoy the stretch cord that came with the unit. The stretch cord does not use hooks on the end but instead has knots tied into it that lock into notches on the carts frame. When you lower the base plate the wheels move into place and secure into place. To raise the handle there is a push button on the handle that unlocks the handle and allows it to rise. I have been really pleased with this purchase and have found it to be reliable and easy to use. PROS: - Nice quality and well built - Able to carry 4-cases of paper without fail - Has convenient stretch cable to secure items on the handcart - Knots on the stretch cable lock into notches on the frame of the handcart to secure items CONS: - None Yet

Built better than the similar Magna Cart
I work as a USPS mail carrier, and I need a cart like this to deliver all those wonderful Amazon packages to large apartment complexes on my route. Thirteen months ago, I ordered a Magna Cart, which gave me several problems. From the very beginning, It would not unfold properly, and it completely fell apart after 13 months as the plastic pieces cracked apart. I shopped Amazon for a better replacement and came across this Wesco model. This Wesco model is much like the Magna Cart in appearance. Same size bottom cargo plate and the same height when it is folded up. Unfortunately, I didn't compare the two more closely, as I was eager to chuck the Magna Cart into the garbage dumpster. My immediate first impression of the Wesco was very positive, as it unfolded much, much easier than my previous one. It also features a nicer grip on the top of the handle. It comes with an elastic band to help secure loads, but I don't have the time to fuss with that, so I don't know how well that works. After using it for a week, I am happy. It rolls over rough surfaces and climbs curbs and small steps easily. Folding and unfolding it is very easy. I feel that it should last longer than my old cart, but only time will tell. UPDATE (July 2018) - 14 months of daily use, and it's still in good shape! Folds and unfolds easily. No signs of cracked or bent pieces. Wheels still rolling.

Very durable, solid , easy to operate and great wheels.
I bought this dolly to move my son into his dorm. We have owned it for 1 year , have used it to carry a mini fridge, microwave and large storage containers with all his belongings . His dorm is located far from the parking lot and have to walk through a bricked area for most of the way ( beautiful but highly inconvenient) . The wheels held up beautifully. We have had to make several trips and we had not have any problems at all. The wheels are still looking great and the ride with the dolly is still very smooth. My son is 6'4 and he can reach the handle without having to bend awkwardly. The Dolly is easy to maneuver in tight spaces. It fits in our car without taking any space (small compact car) and is stored in my son's closet in his dorm leaning against the all , again saving space. Just purchased a second one for home. Well worth it it's price!

UPS DRIVER APPROVED
I've been torturing this thing for 2.5 years now and it's holing up great!! Yes we ups drivers have that huge dolly in our trucks, but 95% of the time i need a dolly the huge one is over kill and i've thrown my back out just getting the behemoth lose... But this little thing folds up, SUPER LIGHT and i can easily keep it up front in the cab with me for quick access... It's rated at 245lbs and i believe it is... i've abuse this thing bad... it flew out of my truck doing about 45mph once because i didn't secure it.. came back and it's bruised and scraped but still rolling!!! after 2 years NONE of the screws have come lose... this alone is impressive!!! it's going strong!!! tough mo fo

WELL worth the extra coin....
I’ve owned several of these foldable hand trucks. All were fairly inexpensive (~$40-65) and all boasted a weight limit of over 100 lbs. But no matter what I did to ensure survivability, they’d break. Sometimes the quick release mechanism would fail, a wheel would collapse, and the handle on the last one I owned literally bent and broke while toting a 45 lbs. personal safe. I was furious. So, I went on a search for “a better mousetrap”. Found it with this hand truck! For starters, it’s heavy duty, about twice the weight of any other collapsible hand truck I’ve owned. But the reason for it is that the handle rails are STEEL, not another, weaker alloy. The handle release seems quite stable and strong; solid spring tension and a positive-locking mechanism. I can’t verify it without disassembly, but the wheels seem to ride on actual bearings, rather than bushings. It is slightly taller, when collapsed, but in light of the fact that when extended for use, I don’t have to bend at the waist in an awkward position to use it (I’m 6’0”), that doesn’t bother me. In fact when fully extended and upright, the handle sits about mid-abdomen, making it a pleasure to use. The spacious folding deck and WIDE rotating wheels seem very sturdy. To test it, I moved a buddy’s small firearm safe that weighed approximately 200 lbs., and it performed flawlessly; no swaying back and forth, VERY stable. Both I and my friend were impressed. Of course only time will tell, but this product seems very well-built and even for twice the cost of the average competitor, it’s worth it, in my opinion.

Solid, pricey
I hesitated to buy because there is another vendor who sells an identical looking collapsible handtruck (same load rating) for 40% less, but advertising it was made in China. I don't know that this unit isn't, but went with it because the vendor claimed to be based in the U.S. That doesn't, of course, mean they don't have their items manufactured overseas. Apple does that, yet their hardware seems fairly reliable. It all depends on quality control. We have purchased other quality goods made in china (e.g. clothing from Duluth online, which are consistently durable and very well made). The Wesco collapsible 275# rated hand truck arrived today. Delivery was prompt and upon inspection, the unit looks reasonably solid. The packaging was inadequate and non-professional. I've read some reviews complaining of the folding 7" wheels not remaining perpendicular to the frame when deployed. I didn't find that to be the case, even with NO load on the plate so long as you took the time to fully extend that plate to 90 degrees and spread the wheels with your foot. Don't rely on the plate alone to fully deploy the wheels to their proper position in any event. When those precautions were taken, the hand truck did just fine with the added bonus that 7" diameter wheels gives the operator. They're set a bit farther apart too, which helps with stability across slightly uneven ground. This unit is strong but demure enough to be taken aboard a public bus. Don't use it to move refrigerators and freezer appliances. It's not up to that, and will break. I purchased it for a marriage to a Lucerne plastic dairy crate box to carry a tripod, video equipment, and musical (sax) instruments. It is ideal for that and public buses. I do think the vendor is gouging with excessive price markup for a Chinese made product. But maybe it is made in the U.S. I'm not certain.
