Does what it should. Plenty sharp, splits firewood easily. Not a cheap pos that you will regret, will do the trick and well. Handle is light, balance is good. It’s an axe.

Sharpens up easily and holds a good edge. A little heavier than Fisker I had but just as good. Great for camping/ hunting

Excellent hatchet and value! Splits wood very well as well as limbs. Only recommendation that I have would be to possibly have it in a sheath that you can wear on your belt.

I bought this hatchet for processing firewood when camping in the backcountry. It looks pretty much identical to a very popular and well reviewed orange and black hatchet that has been on the market for years now but this one was half of the price. This hatchet looks proportionally different than most hatchets as it has a small head in comparison to its handle length, but that is how it keeps a light weight yet retains the ability to easily split smaller diameter pieces of wood and also easily delimb smaller branches. My only minor complaint is the size and weight of the plastic sheath. The sheath is fine for home use and is easy to hang the axe on a nail or on a peg board, but it's too big and bulky for my backpack so I will be looking for a smaller lightweight sheath.
