Led's are a bit dim
I just put these in not long ago so hasnt been very long. I read through alot of the questions posted here. To summarize the fans have two leads coming off each of them. One 4 pin 12/v LED and one for the fan power. You can plug up to four LED leads in the controller for LED lighting. Anything after that I guess use a rgb splitter. There is a USB cable which you plug into the controller and then to the connection on your motherboard. If your using AURA then you can plug the 4 pin for LED from the fan directly into your motherboard. Or for multiple fans into a hub or an RGB splitter and then to your motherboard pin. The leads coming off the fan are very short. So your going to need a fan hub. I have all four that I am using plugged into a PWM fan hub. Works. If your using the 4 pin LED to your motherboard for AURA I would recommend a RGB hub or splitter so you can actually reach the RGB pin on your motherboard. One issue I had was after I installed the Cooler Master software (Im using the LED controller) it starts up just fine but then shows "Do you wan to update FW?" Your only option is yes. When you click it the program exits and there is no FW updating. No change the lights or any other good stuff. I wasted an hour looking on line the fix to this. I saw people reporting the same issue. But no solutions. Playing around I found out if you click the X on the top left it closes that window and then the program starts and you can do your thing. The Master Plus software (currently Beta) program also works with the fans/LED controller. The LEDs are very dim. Not a worry for me as I have too much lighting on the computer anyway. But once I got around those challenges everything is good. No crackling or anything yet. Good for the price. They are relatively quiet right now. I read some people say after a day or so they get loud?? Will have to wait and see.Of interest- the four pin for led coming off the fan is a female. So you can plug it straight into your mother board. For the led controller you need to attach another cable to the (fan 4-pin) led lead)which then goes to the LED controller. They include 4 - 4 double sided pins to connect the female to female cables. The plug in on the controller is too small to connect the 4 pin female led plug directly into the controller without the second provided cable. Also of course there is a cable included to connect the led controller to the USB on the motherboard. The last plug on the controller is where you plug your Sata power into.

Useful, Not Awesome
The fans are fine. They get a little noisy at max RPM (kind of a mooing sound, to be honest), but as PWM fans they've got utility all along the curve before that starts to happen. The RGB controller software is bizarrely limiting and has fewer customization options than would be ideal, e.g., you can set all fans to "Breathe" mode, but not to do so with different colors. You can set each fan to a different effect, but that limitation remains (e.g., fans 1 and 3 can "breathe" purple while fans 2 and 4 do something else, but to be different colors they need to be using different effects.) You can't use this software to make particularly sophisticated or complex effects or patterns between fans. I don't know if this is a limitation of 12v/4pin/analog/non-addressable/call-it-what-you-will RGB and the alternative (3pin addressable/digital RGB) might be different. This product didn't claim to do anything it can't, but its set of features are just more limited than I'd like. I'd only fully recommend it for someone who has no other RGB options (i.e., nothing built into the case or motherboard) and wants to set simple colors without much going on, pattern or effect-wise.

Good but with some flaws
Cooler Master MasterFan Pro 120 Air Pressure RGB- 120mm Static Pressure RGB Case Fan, 3 In 1 with RGB LED Controller, Computer Cases CPU Coolers and Radiators Fans seem to be quality materials but have developed very minor but noticeable rattling sound. Controller works well and software works well but when unboxing the unit I was nervous because the controller rattled when I picked it up. However, the controller functions just fine and whatever rattles inside it does not affect performance at all. It only rattles in your hand if you move it around, not when it is installed inside the case and it is magnetic so there are plenty of places it could be installed in your build. The fans do a good job of cooling and in terms of noise I'll put it this way: at idle they have a slightly louder hum than the cheapo Rosewill fans that came with my case, however, under load they are quieter than the stock fans. The intermittent rattling these fans make is disappointing but only noticeable when doing normal tasks which is not all that often on my gaming pc. It's not to the point where I'm going to pull them from my case but if it worsens over time I'll have to.Edited to add that you should NOT get these if you plan on using white at all... the closet these come to white is actually light pink.I'd only jump on these if you get a sale price like I did.

How does cooler master do it?!?!
These fans are unbeatable for the price. Very bright and vibrant colors. These fans have rubber mounting holes to keep vibration levels to a min. The rgb lighting is good and bright for my liking these fans can work in rgb mode using the 4 pin 12v header or blue or red modes with a switch on the fan. Now to take advantage of those aura sync or mystic light whatever you have you will probably want to buy a 4 pin rgb 1-3 splitter because it dosent include a splitter and I’m sure you mobo dosent have 3 rgb headers, now if you don’t want to take advantage of that then you can use the included controller in the box that includes everything the get you setup and going. In my case I’m using a 1-3 rgb splitter to take advantage of the asus aura sync. Fan cables are in black which is nice and they are about 10 inches long I had no problems with these cables. These are great fans and I have them on a cooler master ml 240l in a pull confit and I get 70c on my ryzen 2700 @4.0ghz 1.35v. They don’t get too loud and really don’t have to ramp up to keep my system cool. I’m really impressed with these fans compared to other brands the is definitely the choice to go with. Now keep in mind this is only rgb not argb so it dosent "bling" as much as the argb counterpart but if you really don’t care about that then this is for you.

You can get more airflow by blowing into the case yourself.
Pulling everything out of the box you'd think the product was a solid product. It's built okay, comes with instructions that aren't awful and the product feels like it's made out of okay materials. That is until you install it and actually try to use it. My fans created such little wind pressure I couldn't even figure out which side of the fan was blowing the air.Returning for my money back asap.

Failing after two only months of use.
Bought fans for son’s gaming PC in December. Didn’t get them installed until February. Had to buy othe parts to be able to install. Kit didn’t even come with the power cord to connect to the PC power supply. Now about two months of use the fans have become quite noisy.
