I got these for roller derby after falling hard on my tailbone and doing some damage. These work really well for the price of them!! I fell in them and they really reduced the impact! Glad I went for these before shelling out over 3x the price on the pair my coach suggested!!!

I do what I want. I recently got back into rollerblading, and also decided I was going to try to learn to skateboard. I have been hoping some padded shorts would land on vine and these appeared.I was apprehensive that they wouldn't fit. I'm about 6'1", 225#, 37" waist and maybe 42" at the hip. My measurements are approximate because I lost 30 pounds this summer. But, the XXL fit perfectly.They're smooth, stretchy, and seem quite breathable. They have a higher quality feel than I anticipated, and are also relatively streamlined and low bulk. I have never needed them for ice skating, (though I always wear knee pads as a precaution), but they're comfortable enough, I'll probably wear them to the rink in Bryant Park this winter. Also, they'll fit under my snow pants for snowboarding.So, when I put the big wheels on my new rollerblades, these will be there. And when I try to skateboard, these will be under the sweats. The rear pad seems ample enough to really protect the tail bone and ease any basic falls. The front and side pads make me think these are probably decent for soccer goal keeping, and maybe even basketball, if how they look with the shorts works for you.I'm excited to have these as I carve up the ice, snow, and streets.Five stars.

Ordered these pads in an XL and they fit on the larger side which is fine by me. I’m 5’11” and approx 215 lbs. the padding hits in all the right places. There is an elastic opening on the front for men. They’re comfortable to wear and give me the feeling of security and more confidence when I’m skating ice or roller. I haven’t fallen yet, but I feel like it will hurt much less wearing these! They’re breathable and easy to launder. Would recommend.

My wife decided she wanted to try roller derby. And she found after the first session that proper padding is ESSENTIAL. These shorts provide just that!Well made, out of a breathable polyester/spandex mix. They do get a BIT warm as the padding also provides insulation, but it's not too bad.Sizing is dead on, order your normal size and you'll be fine.

I found the butt pads to be smaller than they seemed in the photo. Granted, I have the XXL version and maybe the ad pics were shot with a small. But they are still an improvement for me on my long bike rides. I will buy this again and will probably get the XXXL size
