Green Rough Sawn Treated Timber Battens 25x50mm (2x1 Inch) 1.2 Metre

Did what I needed. Cut up to use as support staves in assembly of a garden fence panel.

I needed some 2"x1" battens to space out some timbers for a loft walk-way. Unfortunately my local lumber supplier keeps his 2x1 battens (which cost £2.55 for 3m) outside and I needed dry ones. These cost £25 for just over 6m whereas my local supplier would have been one fifth of the price. Price aside, the battens are good quality and fulfilled the job I needed them for as spacers for a 6"x1" x 3 walk-way making a 22" wide path. If you need some battens and can't get then locally for cheaper (and dry) then as long as you don't need too many, these should suffice.

Fit for purpose, I'm using the for base's for 2 little new sheds, as flooring and extra for lift. It's great wood to play around with. Hope I gave people ideas.

Perfect for garden needs. Will put preservative on them for longer life but they were just the job.

Seems OK for building a garden pot plant stand. But the wood inside the plastic wrap was damp. And one of the batons was planed wood with round edges and a smaller size so not fit-for-purpose, so £4 down the drain.
