Brushed Matte Push Button Butterfly Deployment Clasp for Leather Watch Band Strap

Had more than a few of these at this price range and this is by faar the best one. Firstly its well machined so no sharp edges rubbing/digging into your skin (a big issue with most of the others) the Clasp itself locks into place with a very satisfying and reassuring click. I'm currently using mine on sub £1,000 watch on a cowhide strap and its just as good as the one that came with the watch. Punches way above its weight for the price would deffo recommend. I might have gotten lucky with a good batch though so double check yours when it arrives.

This butterfly clasp is very easy to install, easy to open and once you get used to it easy to close. It deploys using two buttons on the side of the clasp and you close it by folding the two sides inwards and sliding the strap through the keeper. It does feel a little bulky in the bottom of the wrist if you’re not used to this sort of thing but it does preserve the leather of the strap very well. I’d recommend this to anyone who needs another butterfly clasp or just wants to try one out. It’s cheap decently made and does the job well.

..it is a decent clasp and because it is brushed as advertised (which you are limited as most are polished steel) I am reluctant to give it less than 3 stars (as watch is mainly brushed steel too)..it loses two stars because it does dig a little into my skin and I am not wearing it tight - I think where it makes the difference is when the weather is hot and the wrist expands explains why this happens. If the mechanism was above the wrist shaped metal it may have been better.

I have fitted many of my collection with deployment buckles for ease and to protect the leather strap from wear, I have bought many brands and types, these are very good and match the colour of my dark dialed Earnshaw Maskelyne with black leather strap, superb.

The release tabs on the buckle dug into my skin.

The first clasp broke within a few days and it was the clasp release mechanism that broke. The seller was very helpful and a replacement was sent within a couple of days and received within a week or so. The replacement item seems fine and well made. How long it will last only time will tell.

Was worried given the reviews stating it had sharp edges, and maybe I got lucky, but mine is completely fine and causes no discomfort at all. Fit my RIOS1938 strap well, and looks great on my watch. Might buy a few more actually. Like others have said though, always remember to measure your strap at the buckle and not the lugs, since most taper. In my case my lugs are 20mm, but I bought/needed an 18mm clasp at the buckle.

took a while to arrive, quality is ok with a bit tarnishing on the buckle surface because of the finish. 22mm is a bit wide and have gaps between straps. So, just ok.
