We have really steep stairs and I was worried about my daughter slipping. We looked into professional carpet runner installation and it would be pretty expensive plus since we have pets I was concerned about how well it would hold up. Then I saw this on Amazon, and was honestly skeptical that they’d stay put, be good quality, etc. I took a chance and they exceeded my expectations 100%! They are durable no snagging from pets going up/down, they add some cushion to the stairs and offer excellent traction. They look really nice. Installation was easy too. It took about 20 minutes total. I’m not sure how well they’d do if removed and washed but overall I’m very impressed.

Nice quality, easy to put down. They stick like the instructions say. Also easy to clean, they were not that thick, but a nice size.

Super soft and love the look of these slip resistance stars tread carpet treads. The color is a light beige that mimics the color of sisal but not scratchy like real sisal. They are well made and were very easy to install. I wish that they were a bit larger to cover more of the stairs but the main part is cover and proceed. They are easy to reposition but the stickiness is not too strong. They are lightweight and look GREAT! Make sure to remove all of the plastic protective coating on the back. Well made! We even had an extra tread. We have not needed to wash them and the corners come up a bit but we are trying to make sure we step on all areas. LOOKS GREAT! Would recommend!

These were a little more money than some others I viewed, but well worth it, they look beautiful. Also, there was no crease in them as they were just slightly rolled to fit in the box. Installation was easy, getting the plastic off the back (and off of your fingers) was just a little tedious, but no big deal. They are softer than I expected and also make my steep stairs much safer to walk on, which was the whole point. Buy these!!

Item looks as pictured. Very easy to install and sticks great . Has helped going up and down the stairs for myself and my older dogs to keep us from slipping.

I haven't installed them yet, but I love the look of them! Updated - I installed them and love them! Very nice. As the other reviews said, though, removing the backing was very frustrating unless you scored them first. They are great!

These treads are self adhesive and stay put well. If your stairs are wide and slippery I recommend positioning them close to edge of the steps instead of leaving too much of the edge of the step exposed. We’ve had 3 falls on the slippery edge of the steps just since installing these. I chose black. That was a bad choice. They show everything h ing and never look completely clean. Plus we have dogs in the house so there is always hair on them and it will not completely come off when they are vacuumed. I think Inwould like them better if Inhad chosen another lighter color. The picture was deceptive. It looked more of a dark gray with a lighter gray pattern. It does have a pattern but it’s all solid. Black. So just beware. They’re on the thin side, not plush at all, but were easy to install and like I said, they do stay put. My dogs had fallen on the steps several times before I got these. We haven’t had any more doggie falls since we got the carpet treads. Only people falls from the uncovered slippery edge of the steps. I’ve rearranged them and moved them out closer to the edge . They stuck securely back in place even after I pulled them up. Over all they’re not bad. I just made a unfortunate color choice. If you don’t have pets it probably won’t be as much of a problem. They were affordable for me and make my stairs feel more secure. If safety is an issue for you, just remember not to leave too much slippery edge exposed. I wish they were bigger but they seem to be pretty standard in size, at least in this price range.

These stair step pads are not too thick or thin. Looks great and incredibly actually stick really well to the steps. No slipping or feeling unstable. Easy to lift off and reposition. The ONLY issue is peeling off the back plastic. It’s thin and if not done carefully or at the right angle it will tear and makes removal of remaining plastic harder to peel off. Despite this, it’s really nice and comfortable

They are exactly as I expected them to be, several members of my family have expressed a wish to purchase them as well for their home. I will not be ordering for them as they have their own Amazon account.
