DCT 4in Plastic Pipe Threaded Quick Connect Adaptor Coupler 1-Pack, Flexible Hose Woodshop Saw Dust Collection

I really like this product. I could have saved several hundred dollars if I had seen this earlier and realized exactly how it works. I don't need the blast gates, the 4" pvc pipe and all the adapters, wyes, clamps and all the other misc. pieces to connect my dust collector to all my machines. I have a 4 inch dia. x 28 foot collapsable Dust Rite hose connected to my dust collector and this piece attached to the other end of the hose. I can easily disconnect from one machine and connect to another with very little effort. Makes working so much easier and convenient. I will probably buy another one and connect to the other side of my dust collector, since I already have all the fitting and blast gates I need to make that work. UPDATE: I actually had this hooked up to a different hose, NOT the Dust Rite hose. It seems that most other hoses are spiraled like left handed threads so this item really does work well with all those hoses. The Dust Rite hose is spiraled like right handed threads, so this item "WILL NOT WORK WITH THE DUST RITE HOSE". Dust rite does make this same fitting with right hand threads for their hose. I don't know but maybe someone else also makes one.

This adapter is great. The 4" opening is slightly tapered so it fits onto all of my machines discharge port which are all slightly different sizes. A little push and twist holds it in place just fine. The material is a sturdy plastic. The "threaded" end is longer than most others I looked at and it screws perfectly into the end of my flexible wire reinforced dust collection hose with a tight fit that does not require the use of a clamp to hold it in place. This is the perfect addition to a piece of dust collection hose, which by itself is a pain to switch from machine to machine. Great buy!!!

If you're buying this so you can switch your suction hose quickly from one piece of equipment to another it needs a little fine tuning. It screws into the hose nicely and seems secure but the inside diameter of the end meant to slip over the outlet port of the tools is a little small. It barely fits on and will fall off if not secured. I just used a flapper wheel in a drill to remove some material from the inside and now it works pretty well. Just got it today so this may be a little premature but I think it's going to work well now. My tools are not set up permanently so I do move the hoses around as needed and this should make the job easier.

I work in a small space and share a wall mount dust collector between most of my woodworking machines. I had been looking at more expensive, proprietary fittings that would make it easy to move between tools then I found this much cheaper alternative. I decided to give it a try and it works great with the stock fittings on my cabinet saw, bandsaw, planer, and jointer. Getting this thing attached to the hose was a bear but it’s super snug and I don’t expect to change it again so I’m fine that it was difficult once. Overall I’m a fan and glad I found this and saved a bunch of money.

Quick and easy connection. Actually rather unexpected good results every time. I do heartily recommend this accessory.

I was a little disappointed in this product. It did not fit well to my different tools. I had particular trouble with it connecting to may router table vacuum box from Rockler. It has too much of an angle where it connects up to the different attachments. I will have to sand it down so that it fits better.

I think the tool would have been more useful if the tapered portion had been rubberized.

the threaded end fits well on my vacuum hose, very stable and you would not need any clamps. The push fitting end, however. will not fit on a 4 inch dust collection port well. Won't stay, you would have to stand there and constantly hold it on. Not impressed.
