Perfect storage for my "new-to-me" X1 Carbon!
I just got an excellent deal on a 3rd generation Lenovo X1 Carbon laptop. This is my third Lenovo PC and my second Lenovo laptop. It has a QHD touch screen, 8 GBs RAM, weighs only 2.5 lbs and I got it for $99.00! The Core i5 CPU is faster than the i7 in my Lenovo x230! The only downside was it had a 256 GB M.2 SSD, so I ordered Western Digital's 2TB WD Blue 3D NAND Internal PC SSD - SATA III 6 GB/s, M.2 2280 and exchanged the two drives. Macrium Reflect cloned my Windows 10 install and apps over to the new drive very quickly, and it's working perfectly in my new X1! Plenty of room now to add in anything I want. As for the M.2 SSD I took out, it's installed now in a $20 USB A/C external drive "shell", so I have some external storage almost for free. The price and specs on this WD M.2 SSD compared to current pricing on Samsung's storage options made this buy a no-brainer, and you give up nothing in return. It's right up there in speed, while it saves you a bundle!

Good
The Western Digital 2TB WD Blue 3D NAND Internal PC SSD has truly transformed my computing experience. With its lightning-fast speed and ample storage capacity, it's been a game-changer for my system. From the moment I installed it, I noticed a significant improvement in the overall performance of my PC. The SATA III 6 Gb/s interface ensures that data transfer is seamless and efficient, while the M.2 2280 form factor keeps things compact and tidy inside my computer. What really stands out is the blazing read speed of up to 560 MB/s, which means that loading times for applications and files have become virtually non-existent. Whether I'm working on complex projects or enjoying my favorite games, this SSD handles it all with ease. I can't stress enough how much I love this product. It has not only boosted my productivity but also enhanced my gaming experience. The 2TB storage capacity is a blessing, allowing me to store a vast library of files without worrying about running out of space. If you're in the market for an SSD, I highly recommend the Western Digital 2TB WD Blue 3D NAND Internal PC SSD. It's reliable, fast, and has made a world of difference in how I use my computer. Don't miss out on this fantastic upgrade!

Great SSD for the price
I finally received the SSD from FedEx and I was able to install it in less than 4 minutes. Replacing my hard drive with this and I know it will be just right after checking my motherboard's support list and shows it as compatible before I bought it :) Thank you

If your laptop does not have NVME but is a 2280 m.2 ssd drive, get this!
Do some research and check your laptop or pc model before purchasing. Make sure you have the right cut slot M or B or both. Also keywords to check is MSATA or NGFF for this particular drive. Installation is not easy on my old HP laptop and I had to do a search to figure out how to get the BIOS to see it. I was able to find enough source material about how it can be done and there are even youtube videos to help thankfully. Nice storage capacity 2TB instead of my old one 256G. I've purchased from GoHardDrive before, they are a great seller and have great products at more than reasonable prices.

For casual usage, it's great and at a great price.
I bought a pair of these for my new-to-me Alienware 13 R3 7700HQ/Gtx 1060 laptop as a portable solution with all of my files, apps and games. For fun I decided to take my fast scratch drive out of my desktop, a Samsung 970 Evo 2tb NVME, and do some informal testing loading up windows on both the Evo and the Blue 2tb plus a smattering of Steam games and apps I use to see what the difference would be. In the application of the laptop, nothing worth noting that you can't already find out. Minimal differences in all scenarios save for internal data copying and throughput when an external usb 3.1 Gen II caddied Evo 850 4TB and my network were concurrently copying files to the respective devices where the SATA interface kept the WD Blue 2TB from being in the same ball park. Load times from windows to games and apps all were perceptually the same when switching the boot devices. They were set up the exact same from Windows initial setup through the last app and file loaded. The only place where the Evo truly felt like it had an edge was the concurrent data pull scenario. On the desktop computer as a fast and cavernous scratch drive, the WD 2tb definitely was slower than the Evo NVME 2tb. Maybe the current $200 worth of price difference, probably not. For the price at the time of writing, $290.00, I am very satisfied with the cost of two for my laptop. If you are unsure you need the minuscule and niche speed benies of the NVME Evo 2TB, I am confident in saying you don't. It never hurts to ask around for particular and special use cases in a community that knows it but that is my general guidance. Summed up the WD Blue 2TB m.2 SATA is an SSD that will serve you well.

This being a SATA (vs NVME) SSD is targeted more for a storage HDD rather than boot drive. Fantastic price bought during year-end promotion. Getting about 160MB as reported by Windows 10 File Explorer when copying a directory of 1TB from HDD, connected by putting it in a Oricco M2. SATA to USB 3.0 box. Something to note, at first I used a very durable Baseus braided cable which was normally used for charging. It worked but realised later the very slow speed I was getting was due to the cable. Switch to the very short cable which came with the Oricco box and it flies. Not all cables are the same - I learned something about the Baseus cable that I liked so much.
