Excellent price for performance.
For what ever reason scope caps are crazy expensive. These are a great value and fit my burris scout scope well. The anti reflection screen screws in nicely and dose a great job. There is minor dimming in scope brightness but not enough to effect what I need. I can see the rubber drying and cracking over the years but its not a problem yet and at this price who cares.

Does exactly what it's supposed to.
The soft rubber sleeve fits snugly over the outside of the scope housing. It can be a little bit of a struggle if you have camo tape or any rubber on the exterior of the scope, but you've only got to do it once. Be sure to unscrew the honeycomb grid before you install the cap. If you push on it you can break it.Nice, cost effective solution when you've got scopes that don't come with their own covers.

Snug, works well, and disrupts glare
The Monstrum caps are a rubber body which slips onto the end of the lens you are trying to shade with a spring loaded hinged cap. The thing to know is how to size it correctly. I had a 30mm diameter tube, and was trying to figure out if the cap I should use was the one starting at 30mm, or the one ending there. The correct answer is the one ending there. Yes, that makes the cap very snug when scooting it onto the scope, but it means it doesn't shift or start sliding off when uncapping it. In comparison, the larger size cap was sliding off continuously, and so it had to go back. Note, the flash hiders on the optic can be unscrewed to take them off. There's nothing to keep them attached or prevent them getting lost, or a replacement if you do, so think hard before doing this.

Rubber split after a few months.
I was looking for an ARD for my Vortex Strike eagle 1-6 and this fits perfectly. The 26-30 is a little snug but that means it's not going anywhere. The rubber will stretch pretty good and I had to wiggle it on but it's on there and is lined up perfectly. Haven't had it long but so far it's just what I was looking for at a great price.UPDATE:Above was my original review but after some time I can't recommend this. The rubber split and this is unusable now. I have only taken this to the range twice and it has been stored in a temperature controlled safe. It sucks because I really liked the is cap because of the ARD.

Measure the outside diameter of the scope !
I ordered two of these and kept one , returned one cause I got the size wrong and reordered for the right size and it worked. They are very nice , made good . They will stretch over the scope for a snug fit. Just make sure you measure the end of the scope for the right one .

Very nice but measure your objective
You definitely need to measure your scope outside diameter before ordering, at the very least choose the next size up than what you think you need. I purchased the 54-61 mm size for a 56 mm scope and it was way too small. I did get it on the scope but it was difficult and it actually reduced the effective objective diameter.I removed it and tried it on a 50 mm objective scope that I had on another rifle and it fit perfect. So I bought the 61-66 mm and tried it again on my Vortex 56 mm and it works great, I'm very happy with these caps.Although I struggled a bit with my first order it has nothing to do with Monstrum as they tell you in their listing to measure your objective, I just assumed that the number for their product would match the size of my scope. Are there better products out there, sure. Will you find a quality cap with a kill flash for $20, I think not.
