When I was first looking for a salt cellar for easy access to spices, I got the round type first with the lid that rotates away. I didn’t like it for a couple reasons - 1) the way the lid rotates makes it a little awkward to use and doesn’t work as well if it’s next to a lot of other things on a cramped counter, and 2) it has a much smaller capacity. These rectangular boxes work much better for me. On a cramped counter, they don’t have any problems opening, and they have a MUCH larger capacity, especially if you use them without the divider. I originally bought them just for seasonings, but now I use them for supplement powders like creatine, taurine, and potassium chloride. For me they’re even more useful for quick access to the supplement powders, it’s so much faster for me to just flip up the lid and scoop out however much I need of each, instead of opening and closing each separate bag or container every time. Sturdy and well made as well.

Very nice wooden salt box. I purchased it as a gift for my son-in-law's pastoral ordination. It is sleek, simple, and beautiful, and seems to be well made. I don't think he will be using it for salt, it is going on his desk. :) I love the magnetic lid feature. Thank you for a nice product!

Beautiful wood container! Excellent size with a divider in the middle! Perfect for holding Celtic salt on one side and Himalayan salt on the other!!

This is a fine salt box that serves it’s function well, and opens / closes easy all while looking great. I keep the best salts in all the Shire in it…

It does it's job just fine, but it's designed to look nice without actually having the final finishes you'd expect. The edges aren't flush, the lid doesn't seal completely and the magnets in the lid seem to have no effect. It does it's job just fine, especially for the price point, but it's definitely not as nice as I'd hoped.

This salt cellar is nice that there is a divider and you can hold two types of salt - or salt and pepper. I keep fine salt on one side and coarse in the other. The divider is removable so easy to clean. The magnet on the top keeps it nicely closed and is easy to open. There is no odor or smell to the box. I just wish the finish looked nicer. It has a cheap finish to it. I wish it was a bit more elegant.

Der Behälter sieht toll aus und macht sich in meiner Küche sehr gut. Leider passt eine Handelsübliche Nachfüllpackung Salz nicht ganz in die etwas zu kleine Dose hinein, deshalb einen Punkt Abzug. Qualität ist aber völlig OK.
