Q: Do you need to manually set humidity level or just leave it do so itself? I’ve just turned it on and can see it dropping but can’t see how to set it ?

Press the setting button and humidity will flash, keep pressing and every press will take it down 5% do this until you get level you need I set it at 60. Hope this helps.

Strange. How much water is in the container after 8 hoursof running? If it is not 75+ per cent full, then it is defective. My house is old, stone (dampish) and rambling, and the humidity indicator does reduce in time. This indicator may be defective

The Dehumidifier takes in the surrounding air and the expelled air maybe slightly warmer than the surrounding air temperature, due to the heat generated from the compressor. The dehumidifier does not cool the air, the air might feel cooler because it is moving in the same way as the air from a fan in summer feels cooler.
