This book was my primary study material for the bird examinations (AANP AGNP). This book was wonderful and definitely covered about 75-80% of content I saw on the exam. I truly do attribute passing the first time to this book. However, you NEED to have a basic understanding of what you are reviewing in this book. Essentially, understand what you learned in school and use this as a SUPPLEMENT, this should not be your primary source of knowledge.Yes, there are a few errors and typos, however Leik has a website where these errors are corrected. You can visit the website and it tells you what information to correct. Compared to other review books I had (primarily Fitzgerald), this one is the best. The app is also extremely helpful, I used it mainly for questions to gauge how much I had understood from each chapter.

This is by far the best review book I own. I have 3 others that do not compare. It comes with the app (which I had previously, the free version). I can’t wait to use the code to upgrade the app because it is great too. The book gives little hints and tips on how to answer the questions that you may be unsure of. I plan to take her review course also.

I couldn’t afford those expensive review courses so I studied this book. A couple of little errors in the text but very detailed yet concise and accurate otherwise. Read about 90% of it and answered all of the multiple choice questions. I passed my certification exam thanks to this wonderful book! Highly recommend it.

This book is so important for preparing for boards. I read it cover to cover and after taking boards and passing, I know this book helped to focus my studies on what I needed to know to pass the test. Highly recommend!! I took the AANP exam and so many question topics where what is written in the exam tips after each chapter. Get this book!!!!!!

I love this book! It succinctly summarizes every topic you need to know for both your boards and practice. I just wish the editor did a better job. There are frequent typos throughout the book, and some incorrect information. One that readily comes to mind is calling C-Diff a gram negative anaerobe, instead of gram positive anaerobe. Otherwise, this is the book you need if you are short on study time and have a bit of ground to cover before your boards.

I read this book from start to finish and it helped me pass a month after graduation.What I did: got a small 150pg notebook, read the chapters, and wrote down information that was new or I was unsure of. I then read the highlights, exam tips, and clinical pearls 1-2 days before my exam. Passed feeling more comfortable than when I took my NCLEX.There are a few small errors, but nothing a practicing RN wouldn't notice and correct.Use the app, you can quiz yourself anywhere and it keeps your mind sharp.The test itself was a breeze and this book over-prepares you, in my opinion.Good luck! I found this to be a great way to study for my AGNP, I hope you feel the same!

Great for study for NP boards. I review a new section and questions nightly. You can also scan the QR code inside the book and have digital access on your cellphone.

I used a lot of resources to pass board but I got to say this is the Bible for student attempting boards. The book is broken down into systems and with a helpful app. This book will help ypu train to critically think and I don’t think u need any other resource. Know Leik and u will be successful.

I read this book twice before writing the AANP exam. I also listened to Hollier's review course. I really appreciated the fact that this book included pictures especially in the dermatology section. There were typos intermittently but I feel that the book is definitely still worth the purchase. It gives a concise review of many important topics and does not overload you with unimportant details. I felt the questions also matched the level of difficulty of the actual exam. Would definitely this purchase again.
