Gets the job done

I’ve just received my UGREEN smart stylus pen for my iPad Pro. Well I’m so chuffed with it. It charges up quickly on my iPad. It is very sensitive, and I can’t praise it enough. A very good price as well. Apple Pencil 2 cost me about £120 ish about 3 years ago. It died the other day. I bid on a couple of used ones the other day on eBay, but I wasn’t going to pay £40+ for a used one. Went on Amazon. Had a good look on Amazon and chose this one. I’m so chuffed I went for this one. I always read reviews, and was happy with this one. Only ordered last night and I’m using it now! Would definately recommend the seller.

First things first - this pen is fantastic value for money when compared to the Apple brand one, works nicely for the limited things I wanted to do with it and is well made. The only downside that I've experienced (and I've never owned the Apple Pencil 2, so have nothing to compare it to) is that the pencil battery goes flat in a day or two if left disconnected from its magnetic charging position. I was expecting the pencil to keep its charge better than that when disconnected.

I’m not a high-end user of an Apple Pencil, so I can’t compare how good this pencil is to a genuine Apple Pencil. However for everyday needs it’s excellent and much better value. It pairs very simply and wireless recharging is faultless, just like an Apple Pencil. Only mild gripe is having to turn the pencil on each time, using the button on the end of the pencil. I had an old Apple Pencil 1, which just worked when I picked it up. I’m sure I’ll get used to it.

I didn't read the 'small print' [to be fair it's not that small] which says it is not compatible with this year's iPad Air. So why are they selling it as it is only compatible with an iPad Air 5th generation which Apple themselves would admit is is severely out of date now and is stuck on iPadOS 16. Looks from the reviews like quite a few people made the same mistake! I now have a very expensice lump of useless white plastic as there is no way to re-charge it!

Really great alternative to the official Apple Pencil, looks the same and works just as well, certainly for my needs.

I bought this because I refuse to pay £100+ for an Apple Pencil. I took the chance on this product, because it was uGreen - a make that hasn’t let me down yet. I am glad I did buy it. It works well, and does everything the Apple Pencil is reported to do. It charges on the iPad - the battery lasts a long time - and I have and I have had no issues with it disconnecting or any other problems. Definitely worth getting one of these rather than paying out for the Apple version!
