This is my second Klim cooling pad and I wish I had never bought either of them. The first I purchased (a different model) had issues after the warranty ran out with the USB connectors dropping if you breathed heavily near them. I thought maybe it was my fault so purchased this second one and have been extra careful with it. I also liked that it came with an extended warranty. EXCEPT YOU CANNOT ACTIVATE THE EXTENDED WARRANTY because the site on the paperwork does not appear to work. It has some error message about the domain and there is no way to register the warranty. To make matters worse, this new machine, from day one appeared to have the same USB disconnecting issue. At this point I thought that it must be the USB ports themselves, though I had the same issue on all three of the ports. Then, this weekend I upgraded my laptop, expecting the cooling pad to finally work, only to find that it disconnects on this one too. I also don't think it actually does much to cool the machine either. My older laptop has a great temperature monitoring program inbuilt and I carefully checked the temperature when the cooling pad was working against when it was not and the difference is not even noticeable. A total waste of money. Unfortunately since I use my laptop on a tray on my lap, I am limited in choices for cooling pads that are large enough for the laptop size, but also small enough to rest nicely on the tray. So I am going to have to put up with this one or use none at all. ETA. After leaving this review I was contacted by customer support who have replaced my cooler with another model which does seem to work much better. Added 1 star to my original review for the good customer support.

So bought this as my laptop was always hot and I must admit it did keep the laptop cool but the stand at the back was flimsy and the 2 clips at the front well cheap plastic it snapped it light up nice but the build quality was not good sad because it did do a good job when working

Cools off my laptop better than KLIM Wind, but I just like Wind's aestethic more. Nice to be used with Klim Tempest.

Dopo mesi di utilizzo intenso, il mio laptop cominciava a scaldarsi anche con compiti semplici. Durante sessioni di editing video, gaming leggero o streaming prolungato, le ventole interne non bastavano più. Ho deciso quindi di provare la base di raffreddamento Kilm — senza troppe aspettative, ma col desiderio di trovare una soluzione semplice ed efficace. ## Montaggio e primo impatto La base è arrivata ben confezionata, già pronta all’uso: basta appoggiare il laptop sopra e collegare via USB. È costruita in plastica robusta con inserti metallici ed è sorprendentemente leggera, ma stabile. Il design è semplice e funzionale: griglia ampia, ventole visibili, angolazione regolabile. Il LED blu è discreto, niente di pacchiano. ## Prestazioni: una ventata d’aria fresca La differenza si nota fin da subito: - Il laptop resta nettamente più fresco, anche dopo ore di utilizzo. - La temperatura del processore è scesa mediamente di 8-10°C nei test stress — che è tantissimo. - Le ventole sono silenziose: si sentono solo in ambienti completamente silenziosi, e non risultano fastidiose. Inoltre, migliora anche la postura grazie alla leggera inclinazione. Scrivere, guardare contenuti o lavorare risulta più comodo. ## Qualità costruttiva e versatilità La struttura è solida, non traballa. Il supporto tiene laptop fino a 17 pollici senza problemi. I piedini in gomma evitano scivolamenti e proteggono la superficie della scrivania. Si possono regolare diverse inclinazioni a seconda dell’uso: da scrittura a visione video. Non è solo una base: è una piccola stazione di ventilazione ergonomica. ## Pregi principali - Raffreddamento efficiente e uniforme - Silenziosità sorprendente - Angolazioni regolabili molto comode - Estetica sobria e moderna - Compatibilità con laptop di varie dimensioni ## Limiti (se vogliamo essere pignoli) - Manca una porta USB extra, avrebbe fatto comodo - Non ha un interruttore per spegnere le ventole — va scollegato manualmente - Il cavo USB è un po’ corto per alcune postazioni ## Conclusione La base di raffreddamento Kilm è uno di quegli accessori che non ti aspetti cambino davvero l’esperienza d’uso... finché non lo provi. Per chi lavora spesso col portatile, gioca, monta video o semplicemente vuole allungare la vita del proprio laptop, è una scelta saggia ed economica. Dopo settimane di utilizzo, posso dire che è diventata parte integrante della mia postazione. Raffresca, sostiene e migliora: consigliata al 100%.

Diesen Kühlständer habe ich meinem Bruder geschenkt, da sein Gaming-Laptop unter Last regelmäßig heiß gelaufen ist und die Performance spürbar litt. Die Wahl fiel auf den KLIM V8, und was soll ich sagen: Es war ein absoluter Volltreffer und eines der besten Geschenke, die ich machen konnte! Überragende Kühlleistung: Die Hauptattraktion sind die acht (!) integrierten Lüfter. Sie kühlen den Laptop meines Bruders selbst bei stundenlangen, grafikintensiven Gaming-Sessions (oder aufwändigen Rendering-Aufgaben) extrem schnell und halten die Temperatur konstant im grünen Bereich. Die Leistungseinbrüche gehören der Vergangenheit an. Flüsterleise: Trotz der hohen Anzahl an Lüftern ist der Geräuschpegel erstaunlich gering. Man hört ein leichtes Surren, aber es ist definitiv nicht störender als die internen Lüfter des Laptops selbst – oft sogar leiser. Die verschiedenen einstellbaren Geschwindigkeitsstufen sind hier sehr hilfreich. 📐 Ergonomie und Design: Perfekte Ergonomie: Der Standfuß bietet mehrere Neigungswinkel, was nicht nur die Kühlung verbessert (besserer Luftstrom), sondern auch die Arbeitshaltung optimiert. Mein Bruder nutzt den höchsten Winkel beim Zocken für eine bessere Sicht und den mittleren Winkel beim Arbeiten. Stylische RGB-Beleuchtung: Das Design ist modern und die anpassbare RGB-Beleuchtung an den Seiten ist ein echter Hingucker. Es verleiht dem Setup einen coolen, individuellen Gaming-Look, der meinem Bruder sehr gut gefällt. Stabile und robuste Bauweise: Der Stand ist für einen Laptop bis zu 17 Zoll ausgelegt, sehr stabil und dank der Anti-Rutsch-Füße und der Halte-Laschen vorne verrutscht der Laptop keinen Millimeter.

Funciona perfectamente, rebaja considerablemente la temperatura del ordenador. En el modo 3 se mantiene con temperatura perfecta.

Consistently works great. Lightweight and fan speed is perfect. Definitely recommend if you are a gamer!
