The Official Guide to the TOEFL Test with DVD-ROM, Fifth Edition

This book is amazing it gives you an idea of what to expect. I'll take the test next week and will update my review then. I tested 2 days ago and the examples in the book have the same structure as in the actual test. The reading part is 20 min. for each passage and the answers. Speaking was excactly the same which gives you good practice opportunities. Listening...I have to say they speak faster than on the CD. And the writing were the same. All in all this book is very helpful.

If you are a beginner, like me, then this book provides every particular information that you need to know about the Toefl and guides you through every section. You can use the Cd provided with this book, if not you can still practice those questions in the book. I thoroughly read the book as well as some other resources and needless to say I got great marks in the examination. Wishing all the Toefl takers the best.

I really like this book, it has all the information on how to get prepare for the test. It has helped me to set the organization and also how to study the different tasks of questions in each topic. It is a great book with many examples to practice the test and also the grammar explanation is very useful in this book! I really recommend this book as a good source of learning and study for the test! Thanks.

I took the TOEFL test about a week ago, and I’m pretty satisfied with the results. I must say this book helped me a lot and the practices were similar to the real test. Also, I would recommend that if you have free time, you can look for extra practice on Magoosh’s youtube channel.

This book was very helpful. I have prepared for a week and passed pretty good . Step by step Toefl preparation with practice tests. Unfortunately couldn’t used disc because I don’t have dvd-rom but I still give it 5 stars

This is a great book to prepare and pass the TOEFL test. The first chapters give an introduction to the test with useful tips for the test date. The tasks are detailly described with explanations with answers are the correct ones and why. There are hints in recognizing the kind of questions and how to handle them. After explaining the different tasks there are plenty of exercises to work on. Additionally, there are several complete tests with answers in the second part of the book. I benefitted especially from the reading parts, but all other parts were super useful as well. I trained with this book for a few weeks and passed the test. I recommend using a timer while practicing. Great price and training, can highly recommend this book!

This book is really usefull, it contain everything you need to pass and score well in the toefl. It contain a CD rom with 4 previous test and a large number of exercice inside. The difficult parts to train is the writting because you don't have direct feedback on your result (I got 96/120 on my test with only 20 on the writting).

Es un buen libro de preparación para el TOEFL test, me preparé el examen solo y alcancé el nivel que quería (>100/120). No lo usaría para solamente aprender inglés, pero sí para preparar el examen. Tiene una buena variedad de ejercicios y muestras para preparar tu examen desde casa sin ayuda externa. Me presenté al examen en 2022, quizás ahora exista una version actualizada.
