Looks great, very sturdy
Just had my Nest Thermostat installed and this stand was a great option for value compared to £30-£35 for a "official" version. This looks great, does the job brilliantly, comes with the screws you need. Only thing is no cable but they've called it out clearly in the product details. You can use any USB cable (non Apple) you might have lying around the home and it would be compatible.

Excellent quality for a decent price
This stand is nicely weighted and seems to be really well made. It came with screws to secure the thermostat and now sits prefectly on our shelf with the charging cable neatly running out the back. The base is made of a flat but very grippy material, so the unit doesn't move in the slightest even if being used manually. Very happy with this purchase, especially at half the price of an official one!

Best done prior to putting Nest together.
This stand is simple enough to set-up and best done from the outset, before you put the Next thermostat together, unlike mine. The reason being that you need to be able to attach it to the stand prior to putting the front screen onto the other parts. For me, I has to remove the black plate on the rear, unscrewing the 4 x tiny screws, and then pop out the inner part (circuit board + white docking part). There are 4 very small clips around the perimeter which need to be released. It is a little tricky. Then thread the Micro-USB power cable through the stand and place the black back plate from the Nest onto the back on the stand. Take the circuit board and place that on top off the back plate, attaching power cable at the same time. Place the final white inner piece over the circuit board and use 2 of the 3 supplied screws to attach it, the circuit board and black back plate to the stand. Having done that, you just push the screen part back onto it. Underneath the stand there is a channel for the cable to be pushed into so that the stand will sit flat. The underneath has a rubberised pad to help keep it in place when you are using it and the stand has a little weight to it as well, although I think it could do with a bit more. It’s decent enough quality for what you are paying and considerably cheaper than the official one.I hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative, and useful. Thanks for reading.

Perfect fit + looks smart
A great product and everyone with a Nest thermostat needs one of these. It means I can be much more flexible with placement, rather than having to use the Nest somewhere that there's a ledge/shelf/furniture to rest upon.

Great solution
This is a fabulous product that worked so well for my nest. I didnt want to drill holes in the wall not did I want the freestanding with unsightly cords. This little plus sorts everything out nice and tidy

Sturdy & easy to set up and half the price of the nest version. Highly recommended.
This is the alternative to the branded Google Nest stand, which does not come with the smart thermostat and is twice the price of this one. This small sturdy stand houses the Google Nest smart thermostat perfectly and looks great.Installation is easy. The backing plate that comes with the nest device screws onto this stand and the thermostat clicks on top of it. Simply a matter of lining up the screw holes. It’s made of smooth plastic and has a channel for the power cable which is not supplied either here or in the nest thermostat itself. I wouldn’t expect this to come with a power lead though.Delivery was fast and the stand was well packaged. It looks really nice.

Lovely little stand, good quality and nicely made!
We have the Nest 3rd Gen in black and needed a stand. It appears Google only offer it in white which is a bit of a rookie error seeing as they offer the Nest in a few shades. So we took a look at this instead, and after reading some reviews we thought it was worth a shot. I have to admit it's absolutely perfect and goes perfectly with the black Nest. It is really well made and not some cheap 3D-printed plastic, it really could be an original Google offering. Super simple to screw in and set up. As others have said, run the Micro USB cable in first, then attach it all and screw it in, and you're away to the races! Love it.

Does not come with charging cable or stand
Firstly you are going to have to buy a charging cable and stand. Another £26. Can’t believe it does not come with a charging cable. The product is shown mounted on the wall, but it’s not really designed to be wall mounted - it needs to be connected to a usb port (once you have bought the charging cable), so would have the cable hanging down, if it was wall mounted. It could not be connected to my existing thermostat cable. So, you really have to have the stand as well. You will also need to hire an electrician to install it- you can’t do it yourself. Another £108.Now that it is installed it has been a bit glitchy- after sitting in the kitchen for several weeks, the thermostat suddenly came up with the message that it needed to be moved closer to the main box. Then after a power cut, it lost all the settings, so I had to input all the info again. The app is rather slow to connect to the thermostat- I have to look at the spinning wheel for a bit before it connects.Still better than the control panel that came with my house, but would not really recommend it.
