The tightening mechanism jammed after being outside for one month. I live in a windy area that is prone to dust. I believe dust may have gotten in the threads of the tightening mechanism and it seized in its full tight position. If you ever need to loosen to wash curtains, you should consider the last and only lock position permanent. Using tools to attempt to unstick the mechanism only caused more damage. That being said, it is still worth for what I paid, but I can't ever adjust the tension again. It is very sturdy and the finish is quite durable. Installation is straightforward, but may be a bit of a balancing act with heavier curtains. I would update to 5 stars if the seller would send a replacement end cap to restore adjustably, but I doubt it would make a difference if I did need to adjust the tension again. EDIT: Seller was very fast to reach out to provide support and address the issue. I would recommend this company for outstanding customer support.

Installed this on my rental house on the weekend. This curtain rod seems to be more durable and heavy duty than curtain rod that I normally bought from the local department store. Easy to install. Just twist it. The spring inside feel more strong and sturdy than the department store version and provide good tension. Easy to remove and reinstall. The metal and paint coat look solid.

I use this rod on my patio and it holds up well during the rain and sun. Easy install and fits my patio perfectly. Would recommend if you are looking for a tension rod for outdoors

I purchased two of these spring rods. They worked perfectly. I wanted them to hang outside for privacy in the summer with curtains. And in the winter. I bought a heavy piece of plastic and they worked perfectly for that. Also, I had an issue and had to contact the company. They went above and beyond to help me with this problem I definitely give this product and company five stars.

Was looking for something for privacy for one area and this did deliver what was needed. Its heavy duty and easy to use without any tools or nails or screws in the wall. I needed a temporary fix and got it.

Easy to put together and sturdy, which was surprising considering the length. It comes with a support bracket, but I didn’t need it, even though it was nearly all the way extended. I’m very happy with this purchase.
