My go-to RPi alternative!
It's gotten harder and harder to source a Pi from even official distributors; so I figured on giving the Orange Pi a shot... Best move I ever made, solid hardware, I'll usually load it up with DietPi OS to keep things lightweight and it's been a great value and solid performer. I've had one running for month using Tailscale for remote access and stability has been perfect. Note the device doesn't come with the attached frame/heatsink in the pictures, that's a seperate purchase; but accessories such as these are plentiful. Connectivity via either RJ45 or WiFi is widely supported and I've not had any hardware issues with Linux based OS'es.

Great Linux computer in a very tiny package!
I was looking for a good tiny computer to run Linux on and this met my needs very well. She is fast and drives my little 15 inch flat screen monitor very well. I am using it as a supplemental computer for those days when I just want to go to the command line in Linux and play like I did in my old college days in the early 90's when Windows 3.1 was king and Linux surpassed it by so many miles that it was like magic on the same computers running software faster and with much better GUI's then Windows had and a much more powerful command line function then we had with DOS. I am loving this little guy, I bought a little clear case to protect her on my cluttered desk.

Admirable piHole server
Small box, even smaller computer. It came up on serial TTY once I got the RX/TX wires setup right. Works well out of the box, I am using the Debian 12 Bookworm 6.1 kernel server image. Takes a few moments to boot. I noticed load was always 1.0 or higher and found a thread online about wlan drivers chewing up the CPU when you aren't connected via wireless. I only use ethernet so I disabled the two modules sprdwl_ng and cfg80211 by adding "blacklist sprdwl_ng" and "blacklist cfg80211" (one blacklist statement per line) to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf and saving the file. Reboot to check out the nearly 0 load average. I use the piHole for both DNS and DHCP and as stated, it does the job admirably. 4gb is overkill but I had a gift card so why not. Make sure you change your sources.list to reflect a mirror of your choice (huawei servers are used by default) and then do apt update and apt upgrade before starting any installations. I placed it in the N502 case made for the OPi Zero 3, with the heatsinks, and the temps went from 118degF to 92degF. From the setup config tool and the updates I've done, this image has docker installed by default, which isn't a big deal but just be aware of it.

Impressive sbc for under 30 bucks. Super efficient, only needs heatsink
This is my new favorite low priced sbc, and ranks better than raspberry pi zero 2w, and much much faster. For under 30 bucks(I got it for 20 bucks shipping it internationally). It has a single USB c power, a USB port, gpio, and micro HDMI out, the GPU is a mali 31, and a quad core A53 arm processor with bt and wifi included, you would think this was going to be power hungry but can run off a TV USB power . The form factor is very small and a nice comprimise as they have a full USB port, which I wish raspberry pi zero had. You will need to invest in a decent SD card, a USB hub, and a micro HDMI adapter, a tiny heatsink, and air mouse; total cost comes out to 38 bucks, still cheaper than a android tv box... This time instead of running Linux, I tried running running orange pi android addition, and they even have options to activate theri i2c and gpio and android. I appreciate orange pi in compiling a lean android image, with no bloatware, with modern Android 12. This thing runs Plex and even Minecraft at 4k smoothly side loading each APK file. It's got a nice GPU and I feel it's overkill to be used headless... This diy android tv box is just so fast, and runs on such low power... It runs 4k Minecraft using 5v, and less than 1 amp of power, therefore it can run off your TV.

Want to give 5 stars but can't
I started with one of the 4GB versions to check it out, figured it wasn't a lot of money. I was surprised by how well it performed. I loaded it up with their Debian image first and couldn't believe how responsive it was for being such a small device. Switched to DietPi and set up docker and some other stuff. It runs in my home lab running several docker images including PiHole without any issues. So I ordered 2 more. Amazon sent each of them from different locations which I thought was weird. Didn't think much of it. After I received the first one, everyone was perfect and it was the correct model. The second one I received, even though it was labelled the 4GB version (on the box and the board both), it only showed 2GB of memory. Thought this was an oops somewhere during manufacturing. Requested a replacement one and also received another one with the same issue, mislabeled. My advice... always double-check to make sure you're getting the correct model when ordering the 4GB version just in case it was mislabeled.

Espectacular mini tarjetita creo que es lo más económico que se puede encontrar para hacer una tarjeta de desarrollo iot con puerto ethernet y sistema operativo. Adicional que tiene buen soporte a varias distribuciones de Linux y otros sistemas operativos

Works great and is a great addition to block ads and spam on your network if used to set up a pihole on itm would highly recommend following the installation tutorial on the pi-hole website or looking up a youtube video, very easy to set up and will block most ads across any device on your network

Easy to set up with pihole and a vpn. I can now access my home network and enjoy the benefits of pihole on my phone while I'm away.

Used this single board computer for a Wi-Fi project. OS was Armbian. Small, low power consumption and seems well built.
