From the critically acclaimed Souls video game series comes one of this year's most anticipated collectible figures from Banpresto. Equipped with Longsword in hand, the Bearer of the Curse is ready for battle in the iconic Faraam Set as made popular by the promotional design and cover art of the award winning Dark Souls II video game. Standing at approximately 7 inches tall, our silent but deadly adventurer also comes equipped with the instantly recognizable Golden Wing Shield. Developed in response to the overwhelming global demand, this limited figure release is geared for exclusive distribution outside of Japan making this collectible a highly prized treasure. This figure comes pre-assembled in window box packaging.

Cursed Undead in Faaram Knight Armor!
I am a DS fan and have completed 1 and 2 on the 360 and all DLC. Regarding this figure, I love the little details like the small imperfections in the armor that would have occurred during battle. I would expect the fantastic shield and tidy scabbard but the dagger is an unexpected neat addition. I have never bought a toy like this before, but I am glad that I did. Only negative is the base, which is quite generic.

Decent Non-Articulating Figure, Scales with Japanese Collector's Edition Weapons & Shields, but...
This is a relatively good-quality, non-articulating sculpt of the Faraam Knight introduced in Dark Souls II, which is cast in PVC and painted. The weapons, shield, scabbard, and base come detached from the figure, so some assembly is necessary. The figure is pretty similar in style to the statue from the "collector's edition" of Dark Souls II which was included with the game in some parts of the world, though this particular figure is about half the size. As a result of its diminished size: the details look crisper, though I would say it's about the same quality paint job as (if not slightly better than) the aforementioned "collector's edition" statue. This is not a "premium collectible," but it's good enough that it does not look out-of-place next to higher-priced polystone figures. The reason I purchased this figure is because of an announcement that was made in the Japanese market before Dark Souls II; the Japanese "collector's edition" of Dark Souls II came with die-cast weapons & shields inside a wooden, velvet-lined box which is embossed with the crest of Drangleic, and those enclosed weapons & shields were supposed to be compatible with a to-be-released "action figure." After the game was released: there was no further discussion (of which I am aware) regarding such a figure.Banpresto is a toy company owned by Bandai Namco (publishers of Dark Souls) so I had a suspicion that this figure was going to be compatible with those Japanese collector's edition weapons when it was announced. Unfortunately, this figure is only designed to hold the weapons with which it is packaged; the right hand has a gap only large enough to (tightly) fit the grip of the sword included in the packaging, and permanently molded in the left hand is the shield handle, which snaps into the back of the included shield. The weapons included with the Japanese collector's edition of Dark Souls II are exactly the same scale as this figure, but the hands of this knight do not open to receive them, which seems like a missed opportunity to me. With some modification (i.e. cutting open the hands, or modifying the die-cast parts) those die-cast pieces might be made to fit, but having to cut into a piece like this (or even worse: modifying the die-cast parts) is not something many "collectors" will be inclined to do. Banpresto should really have manufactured this as an open-handed figure. With so few Dark Souls collectibles on the market: fans basically have to take what they can get, but this figure -- an offering from the company which owns the rights to and publishes Dark Souls -- is a little on the disappointing side. This is a fine addition to my (or anyone's) Dark Souls collection, but is by no means a highlight.

Very high quality
Dark Souls 2 is one of my favorite games of all time (even though it's a bit weak in the series) and tbe Faraam Knight is one of very few characters that I loved. This figure is a lot better than the one that came with the CE editions because it has better posture, a shield (not those weird dual swords), and better details. Never regret the purchase.I wish Banpresto made the Elite Knight, Black Knight, and Smough-Ornstein figure as well.

Amazing statue!
This statue is absolutely awesome. There is so much detail in this figure, I am honestly shocked it wasn't super expensive like most other statues. I will definitely be buying more from Banpresto. Also on a cool note, he will stand on his own, but does come with a sturdy base.

Perfect!
Always wanted to get this as I happen to be a huge fan of Dark Souls and this particular armour set. Looks exactly like what is shown in the photo, and is pretty high quality for the price.

Bought mine from gamestop for $40 it is awesome but you will feel sorely gutted if you buy it for this listed price of 189$ , its a pvc painted figure but nothing overtly special you would understand once you had it in your hands. Look for it at gamestop or other retailers for cheaper, definitely not worth more than 50$ and even thats a stretch.

This a must have for any dark souls fun. And size wise, it's great to display next to the first4figures giant sized statues.
