This backpack has held up incredibly well for my middle schooler! It’s surprisingly spacious and has the perfect boho look she was going for. Even though it’s a creamy/off-white color, it’s stayed remarkably clean—and the one time we needed to toss it in the washing machine, it came out looking great. For the price, I’d definitely purchase it again. It’s also been a great travel companion, working perfectly as a carry-on to hold snacks, an extra outfit, and everything else needed in a busy bag.

Stumbled on this when shopping for a canvas backpack. Color and style and brand (didn't even know Op was still around) were all exactly what I wanted. Arrived and looked the same in person. I packed a few travel toiletries and my sweatshirt and went on a trip in another city. While out during the first partial day of use I noticed about 1.5 inches of the stitching had come undone from the upper left shoulder region of the main back seam. After arriving at the hotel at the end of the first day I noticed about the same length of unraveled stitching on the left side of the small pouch. I would absolutely return it and be done with it but I had already modified it by sewing a plush toy onto it.Although not as big of a deal, the thread for the logo patch on the right strap is also coming undone and now I'm wondering if any part can be trusted to hold up.I've already done a basic job of sewing the holes up in the images but I think you can still clearly see where the unraveling occurred.I had some nostalgia for the brand and assumed the product would be of at least decent quality. It's sad that I have to recommend steering clear. The quality and/or quality control appear to just not be there.

I am a backpack guy. I carry a backpack like a woman who carries a purse. I like to have my necessary electronics and their accessories close at hand, not to mention the occasional snack or notebook, whatever. That being said, I consider myself informed on what works, what doesn't and what should when it comes to backpacks. The best ones are light, durable, sturdy zippers and are visually appealing while still resting at the base of the spine, just atop the hips. This backpack ticks off all except the zippers. The most important, most often touched, integral part. This product has zippers that cause concern and worry when out, whether on a day in the city or a night out with friends, I found myself being intentionally careful when accessing my items stored within, fearful of the next snag, jam or all out failure of the thin, dainty and overall inexpensive closures. So much so that I decided that it would not be a bad idea to pack a half dozen safety pins just in case. I was also left confused on the proper method of cleaning, all options are advised against, presumably so as not to degrade waterproofing. But that only means that rain itself will degrade waterproofing. If your like me and unafraid to drop your backpack any place out of the way, it will inevitably get dirty on the bottom, with no cleaning options you may soon decide this may not be your favorite carry-all.

A great sturdy backpack that fits everything needed for school. The side pockets are big enough to fit a water bottle easily and the inside fits books and the school laptop. Great purchase!

I love the retro, 80s style of this backpack. Ocean Pacific was huge back then and I am glad to see the brand returning again. This blue surf stripe pattern reminds me of the Baja hoodie shirts that everybody wore around the California beach scene when it was cool at night (Google it if you don't know what I am talking about). While I love the style of this backpack, I am a little underwhelmed about the features. It has two main large compartments, one medium sized compartment, and two water bottle pouches. This bag is good as a basic school or work bag but lacks a lot of the features and extra pockets that many other bags have. You probably would not want to use this for travel due to its limited size and lack of other specialized pouches and storage areas. In summary, it is a functional backpack for typical day use, biking, school, etc., but don't expect a ton of bells and whistles. But if you are into 80s throwback style then you are definitely going to love it!
