I feel like we need to be clear about these high-end products and manage expectations a bit. Sometimes the marketing can lead one to believe you're getting more than you are in terms of real-world performance. To be fair, Crucial does deliver on their claims. This is a fantastic product, in that it is reliable, well made, and technically faster than last gen. That being said, unless your use case is one in which you're reading and writing gigantic files, you're not going to see the benefit of gen 5 vs gen 4 in "practical" use. Most reads and writes are not sequential, and as such, you're not going to feel the speed. Just launching into various apps and games, you won't feel the difference at all. The potential difference between load times is within margin of error for the most part. To use a car analogy, non-sequential reads is like having a Bugatti that goes 200+ miles per hour, so you floor it coming off a stop light hoping to go fast. But the next stop light is 100 yards away. You can go pretty fast in that amount of time, because it's still a super fast car, but there's not enough room to reach top speed. Compared to a Corolla (spinning platter HDD), it's night and day. Compared to Lamborghini (gen 4 M.2), there might not be enough difference to make a difference. The are real world applications to these drives, to be sure. Mostly in the productivity and server space, though. Navigating the internet and loading games is not it, in my opinion. But with that said, if you're the kind of person who just wants to latest and best because it's available, go for it. That's what I did. I use this as my C drive with the OS on it, because why not? Theoretically, there's some speed increase to be had there, even if it's hardly noticeable.

Perfetto per gaming estremo, editing video e carichi di lavoro pesanti, supporta anche Microsoft DirectStorage per tempi di caricamento ridotti nei giochi. Tuttavia, tende a scaldare molto: può superare i 70°C sotto stress, perciò è fortemente consigliato un buon dissipatore. Il prezzo è competitivo per le prestazioni offerte, ma è adatto principalmente a PC desktop con raffreddamento adeguato. Pro: prestazioni al top, supporto DirectStorage. Contro: temperature elevate, non ideale per laptop.

Le Crucial T700, c’est tout simplement une fusée. Installé sur ma config en PCIe Gen5, il affiche sans broncher des vitesses au-dessus de 11 000 Mo/s en lecture. Idéal pour le montage vidéo 4K, les gros transferts de fichiers, et même pour le gaming next-gen. Installation ultra simple, performances stables, et aucune chauffe excessive si on a un dissipateur bien pensé. Il fait clairement une différence dans les charges lourdes : mes exports, imports et rendus sont beaucoup plus rapides qu’avec mon ancien Gen4. Si vous avez une carte mère compatible PCIe 5.0, foncez. C’est l’un des meilleurs investissements perf/temps que j’ai fait cette année.

E' da un po che non sceglievo Crucial per le mie build ma data l'occasione di provare, e testare, il nuovo slot PCIe 5.0 su una Tomahawk X670E, ho optato per questo modello. E sono rimasto impressionato. 💰Certo la spesa non è bassa, ma paragonata ad altri modelli più lenti ritengo che il prezzo sia adeguato, trattandosi di una fascia molto alta. 📌 Diciamo subito che non è per tutti, bisogna avere hardware specifico per sfruttarlo, infatti montato su uno slot PCIe 4.0 no lo sfruttereste appieno. Inoltre ha senso se avete bisogno di grande velocità di passaggio dati, ad esempio nel trasferire file pesanti o per applicazioni che fanno un largo utilizzo del disco. Nell'uso di un utente base, a parte una velocità maggiore nell'avvio applicazioni, non lo si sfrutterebbe al meglio. ⚙️Come vedete dall'immagine il test riporta velocità molto vicine ai dati dichiarati, che ricordiamolo sono le punte massime di velocità. Superare i 10GB/s in lettura e scrittura è un risultato davvero notevole che, se accompagnato da un processore all'altezza, permette un salto di prestazioni in tutte le applicazioni, siano esse avvio di giochi o software impegnativi quali editing video o foto. ⚠️Attenzione: Obbligatorio per la salute del prodotto abbinare ad un buon sistema di raffreddamento. Non pensateci nemmeno a installarlo senza un dissipatore, meglio se dotato di pad termici di qualità. In test ho toccato velocemente temperature vicino ai 70°. La potenza si paga in termini di calore generato. Ora staremo a vedere nel tempo, ma per il momento non posso che dare 5 stelle. Ciao a tutti
