Reliability
Update on Review:A new version of the raccoon has arrived for my big boy and the new material and 2.0 version has withheld my dog who loves to shred everything. He is very Happy with his new flirt pile and it has been an amazing toy for both of us.Also, the creators are super professional and show how much their products mean to their customers. They were easy to work with and I appreciate their time and efforts.Old Review: Within 15 minutes of my dog playing with this toy, he managed to take the squeaker out and rip the bottom part off. This flirt pole is not made for big dogs.

Long-Term Review
Of course, your mileage may vary with your dog but this is my puppy’s favorite toy. We play with it most days (weather permitting). This is an outside toy and while it has usually been stored inside sometimes it gets left outside in the mud and the rain. The pole itself is immaculate. It’s made of aluminum I think and withstands random games of tug of war. Same for the rope holding it together. The toy itself is showing some wear and tear as you can see. Stained and damp (we just got done playing with it) with random threads poking out and this thing is holding. It. Together. Those threads aren’t loose and nothing is pulling apart. And if you didn’t catch it, this is managing all this with a puppy. A German shepherd puppy who is growing faster than she realizes

Good quality on the handle and rope but…..
I like the collapsing handle most. It could be a bit slimmer in diameter to fit a smaller hand. The rope is a little too thick for my liking but is well made and finished off. My main complaint is the quality of the lure. My dog, a ten pound puppy, loved it but began shredding the material in just two days of play. Clearly, its not designed to play tugging games with. The directions clearly say not to allow the dog to pull on it, but that’s a main source of joy for the both of us. The manufacturer could easily up the quality of the lure, offer a tough toy option and ask a bit more and the toy would be even better. Overall a great toy and it’s perfect for traveling. I ended up removing the original lure and made a new lure from a Kong Wubba. It works great and the puppy can play pullie to her heart’s content.

Best Dog toy I've ever Bought!
Great Quality, it has managed to withstand my 2 girls, a German Shepherd and Australian Shepherd. They are both very high energy and this wears them out easily without wearing me out. This is their absolute favorite toy. It's very sturdy and easy to adjust to different lengths. I love this toy, it has been a game changer for my dogs as nothing else would wear them out. They are both much more relaxed and mellow because they have this awesome workout tool. Thank you for making this!

The raccoon rips
The pole itself is fine. However, the raccoon is starting to shred. I doubt I will buy a replacement raccoon. I will find something else to replace it.

Not for super prey driven dogs who like to tear stuff up
My pibble tore the toy up in a minute. Chewed the line up in 2 minutes, and due to yanking broke the adjustable parts of the pole. If you have an energetic, prey driven fur baby who won’t let go - this is not for you. He’ll release all his toys, but not this. Thought it was tough enough, but it was actually $35 for 20 minutes of play…basically swung it until he caught it and it was over. Better off getting yourself some PVC pipe, tougher line, and more indestructible toys to hang on the end. Waste of money, but he loved it for the short, SHORT time it was used for.

Sturdy
This flirt pole is very sturdy. My dog big and is very rough and it has held up well so far. I wasn’t sure he would use it as he’s picky about his toys/play but he actually really enjoys it.
