Farshore PAW PATROL BOARD BOOK – PIRATE PUPS: A fun adventure story book for pre-schoolers from the hit kids show!

Book is good for little ones, not too long & fabulous for Paw Patrol & pirate lovers!

Nice for little pup fans

This is a fun little story about a paw patrol rescue. I really like how the board book is set up with thick pages, a different border colour per page and nice big lettering with fairly simple language. There is not a lot of text either, it is nicely spaced and really good for little readers. The book is not too long so can easily hold a little ones attention span, all the text is on a blue background which fits with the theme and the bright colourful pages. There are some little graphical touches too such as paw prints or palm trees in the corner of the left side of the book where the text sits. It is nicely designed for little ones. On the right hand side of each page is a nice big and colourful image, this would be brilliant as the images are good and really represent and bring the text to life apart from the fact that they are a bit blurry. The contrast on the imagery seems off, it is almost like it is too bright. I think this is either poor printing or they are screen grabs from the show. The images just are not sharp enough and while little ones might not notice so much im sure some will. It's a real shame and the imagery is a bit of a let down. A nice and fun story, nicely presented let down by big imagery that just is a bit too blurry to get top marks.

Perfect for any paw patrol fan. A fun story to read and children to enjoy with the pups as pirate pups on the beach. The pups are playing on the beach and they get a note and have to rescue their friends who are looking for treasure, they have been sent a map. Heading out, they get stones shot at the blocking the way. Working together they clear the way and rescue their friends Each open page has a page of story and a page of pictures. All the pages throughout are all bright and colourful, which has all been illustrated well. All the words are printed boldly and clearly. No complicated words which children wouldn't understand. The board book is a good size, with hard pages throughout. It looks and feels of excellent quality. A book you could pick up over and over.

I got this book with the intention of my 3 year old daughter. She likes having books read to her, and short books are a blessing when she asks for them to be re-read multiple times in a row. The book is a hard back book, with solid cardboard pages. These pages are glossy, and full of vibrant and colourful pictures. The most amazing bit…. Whether out of jealousy or curiosity… I don't know. I gave the book to my three year old, and went downstairs to get them a drink. As I returned to their room, my 6 year old daughter was sitting down in a chair, and reading it to their sister as a bedtime story. The 6 year old is a good reader anyway (but never actually wants to). She was having no problems with the language in the book.
