Superb Piano Book
I was so impressed by the quality and standard of Book 1, that I bought this accompanying Book 2. It is of the same superior quality in content and I know I will be able to continue with my piano learning journey with the help of this resource. As with Book 1, the QR codes are an excellent learning aid and I love that I can play along with the music, which makes it such fun and keeps interest as well as a sense of achievement. This Book 2 continues to expand on theory knowledge as well as technical skills ( covered in Book 1) with a lovely selection of pieces to learn as well.

The BEST adult piano book for beginners
I've been a guiatrist (who never learned to read sheet) for 20 years. Ive tried to learn piano for years and kept bouncing off it, always finding it too frustrating. This book (and the 2nd one) are absolutely perfect IMO. It starts at the very basics and slowly builds up. There are never any jumps in difficulty which feel too much of a step, but each piece definitely feels harder than the last, but still very comfortable. It's taught me to sight read comfortably, and now I've finished both books I feel like I'm able to go off and make my own piano adventure 10/10

First Impressions
I have just started using this with adult student. She particularly likes it as it involves a much larger range of notes than previous books which concentrate on the middle of the piano, which can be difficult for large hands. It seems good for theory and particularly for understanding harmonic relationships. Scales are limited to one octave however, and only a few keys - CGDF and their relative minors. Explanation of pedal usage is good with plenty of opportunity to practise - very helpful for adults to develop this technique carefully.

A brilliant follow up to Adult Piano Adventures Book 1
This really is an excellent book. I am slowly working my way through this, and I am finding it a challenge. But it really is worth the effort, as each time I complete a piece of music, I sound a bit more like a proper piano player, not a complete novice who has never had a piano lesson in his life (which is what I am!) Each new page either introduces a new piece of music theory, a new key signature, a new rhythm, or a piece of music that allows you to practice what you have just learned. It can take me about a week to get some of the music (Coffee House Boogie was particularly challenging), but when I do, I feel such a sense of accomplishment. Most of the music has both the left and right hand pieces scored, which is as you would expect. Some pieces have just the melody, and then write the blocked chords to play above the melody. This is then followed up with a second way of playing the left hand, which makes playing it even more interesting. My favourite piece I've played like this so far is Londenderry Air (also known as Oh Danny Boy). Only the verse was scored, but it sounded so lovely, I worked out how to play the chorus too, including the left hand part. It will take me ages to finish this book, but I don't care; I'm loving this adventure!

Quality adult piano learning material from the brilliant Faber's.
One of the best and highly lauded adult piano learning books along with part 1. Traditional method of approach but very well paced and very accessible for those late to the piano. Love the spiral bindings too.

A step up from book1
This is the second volume and needs a lot more work per lesson than book1 but if you put in the work the results improve noticeably. Pleased with the results so far. You do need to use the app and buy the online music if you are in teach yourself mode. The sad bit is that the there isn’t a book 3. Although I believe can swap to 3b in other series to pick up from this book. Will find out when I get that far as only about 1/3 of way through this so far as progress is slower.

This book follows up book 1 neatly and builds on the techniques you learned. I spent much longer on each piece than I did in book 1, naturally because the pieces are more difficult and longer. Some pieces look daunting at first, but you just have to try them and you'll find yourself learning these pieces in an hour. However, perhaps it's just the novelty wearing off, I found this book to be much more boring to get through compared to book 1. There are only a hand few of songs that I enjoyed going through, and all the pieces are left hand chords, right hand melody and it gets repetitive quick. You'll only know 3 of the major scales and the equivalent minors by the end of the book, so I would recommend spending 5 minutes a day trying to learn one new major scale a day, something I wish I did. Nevertheless, that's just the struggles us self-learning adult pianists have to endure. You have to stick through it to be able to play the pieces you enjoy. I finished the book in about 3 to 4 months, but I'm currently going through the book again to refine my techniques, which unfortunately is even more of a bore the second time around. On the bright side, the earlier pieces are good sight reading material as it is likely you'll forget them by the end due to how forgettable they are.

I've only just started this, but what I've immediately realised is that the online video resources that were so useful with in the first book are not provided for this one. They provide a bunch of audio files, but these are just backing tracks, and so it can be difficult to understand how a piece should sound, which is important for beginners. They do provide a video playlist on YouTube of Randall playing some of the pieces, but unless I missed something, he doesn't play all of them. Yellow Bird, for example. So you'll have to go to third parties to find videos of people playing these pieces. The pieces he does play, aren't played fully, it seems. I wanted to hear the entirety of Niagara Falls to understand how the Coda works, but, again, unless I missed something, he only played a part of it. The videos for the first book also had two camera angles of the pianist, whereas this one only has one.
