Great Linux game emulator
I revisited the RG35XX H this fall after flashing GarlicOS 1.5 and the little Linux handheld still punches way above its price. The laminated 3.5" IPS panel is genuinely crisp, and the H700 plus 1GB of RAM keeps PS1 and 16-bit cores locked at full speed while my nightly sync job copies save states over 5 GHz WiFi. ANBERNIC continues to ship a 64GB card packed with thousands of ROMs; I wipe it for my own dumps, but the dual microSD slots make juggling firmware and a clean library painless. Real-world battery life lands around 4 hours with WiFi on, so I tuck a 10,000 mAh pack in the bag, yet the ergonomics and the surprisingly snappy low-profile sticks make this the retro handheld I reach for first when I want to speed-run Symphony of the Night on the couch.

“We have Nintendo Switch 2 at home. Nintendo Switch 2 at home:”
I got 3 of these for my kids and they absolutely love them. Adding games couldn’t be easier, just be extremely careful with the microsd card as it can easily be corrupted by removing it from your computer without hitting the “safely remove hardware” button. After learning my lesson on that and replacing the microsd card, I was able to read off of it to copy the data to a replacement, the first thing I did with the second one was copy a backup of it on my computer in case there is another mishap. Other than that, games work surprisingly well for this little device. If you add any (legally owned of course) Nintendo 64 roms, they can be a little janky sometimes as N64 is notoriously hard to emulate. If you run into that just try selecting a different emulator core or bumping the resolution down a notch- it automatically upscales it by default. GBA Pokémon trading can be done between devices, google will tell you how to do it and it takes like 5 minutes to figure it out. You can plug also this into a TV with a mini-HDMI cable, it has two USB-C ports that can be used to plug in controllers- new Xbox controllers worked perfectly for this, but I couldn’t get the controllers to connect via Bluetooth.

Buy at your own risk. Probably a coin toss if it will actually load.
Agree with some of the lower rated reviews. The loading screen is stuck at BatleXP. I looked at many different sites, bought my own 64 GB SD card, imaged the card they sent, and reloaded. Nothing. Same result. Also on my new card downloaded a diffferent image file to flash and try my own SD card. Wouldnt even turn on. Re-imaged with my backup of the original card and didnt turn on. Put the original SD back in and it booted but stuck at loading screen. In all probably 5 hours of troubleshooting for nothing. Do not buy.

Great for Beginners. Grab and go no setup
Super Fun. Great little Handheld that fits in a pocket easily but not too small where its unplayable. Plays up PSP games well. Some games already loaded on. Easy to add your own. Was my first time with these types of console it was a great start. Good build quality and battery life. Buttons feel sturdy. Screen looks great. Sound quality is good but no Bluetooth connectivity lkke android so you may need wired earbuds. Great for beginners to emulation consoles

Cute small device, but needs improvements
I like the idea of a small gameboy-like emulator that can play games between the NES and PS1, however, there are a few flaws I have had when I received it. First, navigating the menus are confusing because the button functions are different in each category. For example, in the Game Emulator menu, the "Back" button is START, but when in the Media menu, the "Back" function is START + SELECT and the device does not give clear instructions what to press. Secondly, although it has a Huge selection of games, I have noticed that a lot of them (I have not tested all of them yet) are in Japanese, even if you choose the English options for both the device and/or the games language upon boot-up. This makes playing some games, like the Final Fantasy series confusing because I cannot read Japanese. I had to uninstall these games and download English versions of the games and reinstalled them. Thirdly, I have noticed that while playing for extended times, the device itself tends to get a bit hot. I'm worried that it might get hot enough to burn tiny hands. However, I have noticed that if you reduce the Brightness and Volume levels, it does not warm up as quickly. Just something to note. The device is good but again, could use some improvements. Overall, I would rate this at a 6/10. A good buy, but not a priority.

I needed me some Digimon World 3...
It has a good weight, buttons feel good, joysticks are an awesome addition on its Gameboy like frame. Sounds great but the audio does peak during more demanding cut scenes. Feels a little small in the hands. It runs right out the box, games added and pre installed run smoothly. There's a lot to choose from, and some childhood favorites are already here like Spyro and Crash. The handheld feels solid, but I still wouldn't want to find out how tough or fragile it is. Even my mom and my daughter play some games on it. It's a little treasure. The thing I personally dislike is getting no warning before the battery dies. Save often to avoid getting pissed about lost progress. You can only see the battery during gameplay by bringing up the retroarch menu. It's also the default button to hold to use shortcuts for fast forward, slow mo, save and load states, and screen shots. It's referred to as button 8 but nothing else I've seen makes it clear that the M button is button 8 other than process of elimination.
