Good Value for the money
I bought this to check out my mole traps without having to walk 300 yds only to find out the mole out smarted me by creating a new tunnel.. LOL Also I really like the variable power, It's just enough to see from 100 yrds to 1/2 mile. Its clear and the focus is on top for fine tuning. The tripod isn;t very tall but if you are using this for target practice, it should be just about right height wise. I just so happen to have a 4 foot tripod that I use to check out the night skies. Trust me you will not be able to keep your hand steady enough to get a good look at the moon. Over all, well built, comes with a rubber eye piece, lens covers and the eye piece depth is adjustable making it nice so you don't have eyelashes smashed up against.

Great Monocular, great tripod, phone mount could be better
This Monocular is easy to use and what you see through it looks great. It is bigger and heavier than I expected but seems to be a great quality device. I am really impressed by the tripod that came with it. Super sturdy, especially when you extend the legs and spread it out further. Again high quality construction here! The phone mount… Good idea, but could be problematic depending on the phone you have. I figure you have 2 options with it:1) you can use this on the tripod: Don't put the tripod on the phone mount. It is off balance and unstable. Put the tripod on the scope. (There is a mount point under a cap. See picture)2) Use without the tripod and hold the scope in your hand with the phone dangling in the mount. Seems pretty secure.I would like the extension arm to adjust the scope to fit over the camera to be a tad bit longer. For how I usually take pictures with my phone it is too short and will cover my power button to reach. Still I can get something that works. I have a wider phone and while the clamp fits, it is tight. Other phones with different arrangement of buttons or skinnier phones would probably have more options.Something to note: The phones that have more than one camera on the back, they will switch from camera to camera depending on the features you use. My suggestion, set up the phone for the shot you want, then move the scope to whatever camera is being used for that. This will save you from having to adjust the position of the scope when you are trying to take your shot. Conclusion, I really like the scope. The phone mount is clever, but take some fiddling to get it to work for your phone. And the tripod is better than I expected!

Good value.
The media could not be loaded. The 10-30 power is very sensitive to vibration. The video was taken with the tripod setting on the hood of my truck. Seems to work quite well.

AWESOME
Awesome is not a word that that I customarily use, but I used it as the singular word to describe the features and performance of this magnificent monocular. When it arrived I unpacked it immediately and was very impressed with all of the added goodies.A really decent tripod with solid legs that cCAN BE RELIABLY EXTENDED. Not spindly but nearly rock solid. The carry bag is a little more substantial than most others that I have reviewed. The nice feature is the fact that the carry bag is roomy. Enough looseness to accommodate a quick connect tripod mounting plate. No tugging an pulling, I installed the mounting plate and dropped the scope into the carry bag.It settled right smartly to the bottom of the bag and Velcro flap closed the bag with ease. I really liked that feature.I then proceeded to mount the GTYORUS 10-30x50 Monocular on one of my professional camera tripods. My test target number one is a church spire that is about a mile distant from my location. The spire was located and I set the focus for best detail of the shutters in the belfry. Then I began looking to set the diopter adjustment. The view of the spire was very good, it seemed like I was already in the high power mode. Then I turned what normally would be a fine tuning of the focus or the so called diopter adjustment. Turning the ring brought the powerful zoom function into action. 'The image came closer and closer until I felt that I could lean forward and almost touch those lattices in the belfry. It was exciting, it was awesome! The detail was amazing. I then turned the scope on a ridge with trees that are beginning to leaf out. It was amazing. The individual limbs and twigs were clear to view with amazing definition and no aberrations. No prominent outlines of that familiar yellowish wash oor line on one side of the object, while a bluish wash or line appears on the other. On distant objects these prominent aberrations on more cheaply made telescopes all bugt wipe out the enjoyment of seeing detail of distant objects that have fine details in their makeup. So slight is the amount of achromatic aberration that I found myself looking many times to make sure that I was actually seeing and not imagining the trace amount light gathering discrepancy on finely detailed far distant objects. The untrained eye would never see it. A very impressive performance. This GTYORUS 10-30x50 Monocular performs fully if not more than full to its published specification. In my opinion this monocular far exceeds the performance of other monocular that boast an 80 power magnification.I spent the better part of an afternoon and late evening enjoying new discoveries about my city. I was able to see things that I had not seen before with other monocular that I have tested and reviewed.I have never felt as though one scope over another offered better night viewing until this review. This monocular brought incredible noticeable brightness to my eye with fine details.I will run a foot candle test and make a comparison with a light meter. I will add the results to this review soon. That should tell you that I am very excited about and impressed with this monocular. That should give you a clue as to why this AWESOME telescope is getting the Full FIVE GIANT STAR rating from me.I have no doubt that this GTYORUS 10-30x50 Monocular will become a popular best seller.
