Without FDA oversight, it's always difficult to sort out which supplements might be reliable. A company that separates out and lists elemental ingredients tells me they might be more reliable and knowledgeable about the product they are selling. As a medical librarian I do a lot of research before choosing a particular formulation. While Ca-AKG has few human studies, the results of animal tests show some value in improving mitochondrial function, particularly in the gut. I was looking for a supplement that would supply added calcium - came across this formulation and after my research decided it might be beneficial for both the added calcium and improved function, and was a fairly low risk. After 3 months, I do notice improved gut function and much less discomfort and plan to continue taking this product. NOTE: tried to order it a few days ago and saw it was unavailable. Just before submitting this review a search using Longjuvity and/or Ca-AKG did not bring it up. Perhaps Longjuvity needs customer feedback to continue producing? Meanwhile, I've had to order another brand.

This product is the only ca-akg product that doesn't give me gi distress. I've tried standard capsule, powder and even liposomal gelcaps. I think this one has the special delayed release enteric capsule that helps eliminate irritation. Will keep buying!

It’s still early to tell how much it is helping me, but I do feel a little more energetic. Hoping for more brain clarity as I continue to take it.

Rating it a 5 because it's Enteric Coated, for Ind. Lab testing results shown, and for labeling elemental calcium on the label. Regarding end result only time will tell; however, I'm going by Ca-AKG research that's been done. So far, I'm only taking 1 per day & sometimes I need to skip a day here and there, because there's 106 mg Calcium per capsule & I already take two supplements that contain some Calcium & of course there's varying Calcium content in foods, and I need to limit the amount of Calcium at any one time.

I purchased for potential health span benefits but I believe I am observing better performance on my cardio and potable weight training. It’s subtle, it could be in my mind but zi have not really notice this for other supplements I have tried.

Review. I have seen a lot of articles talking about the benefits of calcium AKG for healthy aging, but could not find an affordable timed release CaAKG supplement on Amazon. However this product from LongJuvity Labs seems to check all the boxes, and is a fraction of the price of their competitors. I have only been taking it for a few weeks, so it is probably too soon to notice any major effects, I do notice an improvement in my mood and energy levels, so hopefully this will continue over time. The capsules and packaging look high quality with no breakages, and shipping was on time.
