I bought this to replace an All Pond Solutions one and wow my pond after 4 days is amazingly clear , it was easy to install and worth every penny it cost.

I bought this to replace a Pond Expert filter (of which I have had two). Although they appear to be made by the same company (their addresses are the same!) the PondHero model appears to be a much simpler design. I have only recently installed it so can't comment on longevity but it appears to lack the weak desing points of the Pond Expert. (For example that model has a pivoting flow and return plate which is used for cleaning but is very susceptible to leaking). Sometimes simpler is better and this was easy to install.

Our pond was very green and lots of floating mess in the water after a few days with thuis filter cristal clear ,have turnd the uv off and the water is still clear after two weeks just useing the filter .cleaning it is a breeze using the handle ,but i would imagine a proper clean one in a while would be worth it.Great does what i wanted perfectly.

Photo 30 mesh home made filter after 30 minutes while cleaning Filter.I purchased this filter October 2023 and today 6 months later I decided to give it a clean. Note at this point this filter is 6 months old. The so called turn to clean had made all the foam filters an oval shape due to the action of the badly designed mechanism. I have tried to find replacement filters on Amazon. Nothing Like it available. Removed the UV bulb to clean the sheath and associated area. The bulb had over heated and blown will not look for a replacement as there is no point without the replacement foams. So I paid £80.00 odd pounds for this filter, replacement 2 twice a year is £160.00 in two years the cost would be £320.00. It is better value for money to buy a more expensive filter from a recognised manufacturer. I thing the current reviews need investigation as they are not compatible with this product.
