Great quality item that is easy to use.
So happy I found these. My family loves pot pies - these rings work great on both Banquet and Marie’s! No more foil to protect pie edges! Just pop these in. Easy to use and easy to clean.

Worked very well!!
I used these to bake pumpkin pies. I know it’s easy to use aluminum foil but I’m lazy & that’s too much trouble for me. These worked great & the edges of my crust did not burn at all. I did spray them before placing on crust but they did not stick & easy to clean. I store them right on top of my pie dishes. These feel sturdy & should last a long time & glad I went with these instead of silicone.

Perfect for 5" pies
Took more than 2 weeks to arrive but did the job nicely. Perfect for 5" pies, and you can throw the rings in the dishwasher when done. All metal construction, so should be durable enough if handled with care (the metal is sturdy but thin). The pics show before and after pies cooked at 400 degrees for 50 minutes in an LG gas oven. Update 2-11-2026: They discolored slightly in the dishwasher, but shouldn't affect performance (see last pic).

Size does not work well for me.
It is lightweight and worked well with a pie tin I inherited from my Grandmother. However it seems too large for a store-bought frozen crust -- which I use much more often.

Great. Will be gifting this
Pie came out perfect thanks to this. It’s super easy. Crust edges still get cooked just not burnt. Removing it isn’t easy or hard to do I just wish they provided two tabs opposite of each other for easier removal

No more aluminum foil strips? YES, please!
After decades of painstakingly fitting strips of foil around the rims of pot pies to avoid burning the crusts, I had had it! Went looking on Amazon for a solution and found these, and they’re perfect! No more blackened crusts when the foil falls off in the oven, because these don’t slip! One small caveat: a favorite brand of pot pies sells 2 sizes of their pies, and these crust protectors will only fit on the smaller size (5 inches across). We switched to the smaller ones, used the protectors, and no more burned edges.

Don't buy if your pie plate is smaller than 10 inches
It probably works fine, but is definitely too small for my 9.5 inch pie plate. Don't buy unless you have a 10 inch or larger pie plate.

I received the crust shield this morning and gave it a try on a pie today. I'm very perplexed at some of the reviews posted regarding the size and fit of the shield over pies. I can't speak to the smaller size but I will make my comments for the 10 inch shield. I'm using an Emile Henry pie pan with a fluted edge and the shield went over the top of the pie with no force whatsoever. It basically dropped over the edge of the pie on its own. Fits perfectly. It also works perfectly to protect the crust edge as well. As a matter of fact, I uncovered the pie for about ten minutes or so just so that the edge browned up a bit. Great product that works well. Great addition to the kitchen.

I used this on my deep dish 9" pie plates and it fits perfectly. The edges cooked at the same rate as the top crust. This is a lot easier than using foil. Probably best for the environment too.

Worked perfectly but many individual sized potpies no longer needs the shielding on the edge these days and sometimes, it's more convenient to just lay a quarter sheet on top of the pies to shield it if you don't mind having to rinse off the quarter sheet if a pie leaks. The re-textured meat in these modern frozen potpies these days really makes me sad. You have to find a proper bakery to find a decent pot pie these days.

Very well made and perfect for keeping the pie, quiche crust from over cooking
