Bird's shampoo
Even if the ingredient are ok and without nusty agents, my bird does not like the foam that produce. May some birds do not like that. It should be done one that does not foam.

Take your bird to vets to make sure it is just plucking before buying
This product didn't work for as my bird wasn't plucking. After 6 years my bird had developed/started plucking where he rests his head to sleep. Over a course of 5 weeks his back looked sore. After a couple of weeks of him doing this I had bought this shampoo and bathed him in luke warm water and sat with him on my chest wrapped in little blanket until he had dried off enough. He actually fell asleep. It seemed to work briefly but didn't work in the long run. I took him to vets after about 5 weeks as I was seeing no improvement. Although still chatty and eating well something just didn't feel right. I'd had him since he was a chick, nothing had changed since the day we had him. The vet broke the news he had PBFD. To people that haven't heard of this not a lot of birds recover from this. I chose to put him down before he got worse as the symptoms get worse and it really isn't pleasant for them to experience. Heart breaking as the only way he would of caught this was from the breeder I bought him from. He never mixed with any other birds from the day I got him and the virus can only be passed on from bird to bird. If you have a bird who all of a sudden has started plucking and you think it's not right and in your gut you think something is wrong take them to an avain vet. My vet spotted immediately and was brilliant. Thats the only reason this product didnt work for me. Im sure though if you bird is just plucking this may work.

Nothing special and expensive
This bird/dog shampoo smells alright (nothing special) but very expensive for what it is.

Adding a little Feather Shine to the spray bottle (filled with warm water) to shower my parrots is amazingly effective. Keeps their feathers so healthy and clean.
