Let’s just get this out the way immediately - this is NOT portable air conditioning. This is a neck fan with a peltier cooling plate at the back. At nearly 5x the price of this, I couldn’t quite bring myself to justify buying a RANVOO product, so I thought I’d give this one a go. My body tends to run quite hot and once the climate is above 25’c I begin to find it difficult to cope. I bought this in preparation for the 40’c temperatures of Bali but in honesty…it was little match for the scorching temps and the ultra high humidity. It might have taken the slightest of edges off, but the only real solution for that onslaught is real air conditioning. When outside, the fan tends to blow warm-ish air to your face and even a gentle breeze re-directs most of the fans efforts away or towards your ears. Build quality seems fine and the shielded fans give me confidence that anyone with hair long enough to reach them likely won’t end up tangled. Where this does excel, is in inside or in the shade! The naturally cooler air increases its effectiveness. Working at my desk, I am significantly cooler - to the point where I haven’t felt the need to switch on a bigger mains powered fan until it’s time to recharge. There are three settings for fan speed, with the higher number denoting the faster mode: F1 F2 F3 A quick double tap on either button displays the remaining battery percentage, although you will have to remove the unit to see the screen. I was also dubious of the ‘cooling plate’ but I am happy to report it not just works!? It works well! Peltier devices are quite clever and once engaged, it’s cold to the touch. There are claimed settings and temps so I used my digital infrared thermometer to confirm. I licked a small piece of paper and attached it to the plate. After leaving each mode engaged for 3 minutes, I took a reading: C1 - claimed 25’c - actual 27.1’c C2 - claimed 20’c - actual 21.7’c C3 - claimed 15’c - actual 17.2’c That’s pretty decent!? And in all honesty, I think the temps may be cooler than indicated as a wet piece of paper is probably not a decent conduit… Infrared thermometers struggle on reflective surfaces anyway (which I know, as I took a reading of my Ooni pizza ovens door when it was fired up, also some kind of polished steel, and it read a surprisingly low temp) well it wasn’t and my seared thumb can attest! It is refreshingly cool against your neck, and I found myself occasionally twisting the unit so that the cooling plate was against the side of my neck/throat. At full tilt, the battery does deplete quite quickly but on low settings you’ll get many hours. I’d recommend you keep a portable battery handy, especially one with a PD USB C outlet to help re-juice this fan whenever possible. Bumbling around my house in a British heatwave, doing chores I was significantly more comfortable. If I could change one thing though - it would be that it could operate whilst charging. I’d keep a battery pack in my pocket and run a usb c wire up my shirt (like we all used to with headphone wires!) and enjoy the cooling, not fretting about the battery level. Good purchase - set your expectations to what this is, a neck fan with a peltier cooling plate, and I doubt you’ll be disappointed!

The recipient was highly delighted with product. It arrived safely on time in secure packaging. It took four hours to fully charge. There are three temperature settings and three flow strengths. Please be aware that the plate at back of neck does get exceptionally cold. There is a side light but doesn't appear to have a purpose, so could do without. The test of time will tell how long the product will last before it requires maintenance. At present it is being well used and have received requests from other family members as they want one too. Useful for any walk of life; has been used during college lectures, out walking the dog, sitting/working in the garden, indoors while seated/watching TV and even tried out in bed. There is a suggested time limit of use, so it's not to be used continuously. Initially the motor sounds noisy but once used to it the noise disappears into the background. Made well, appears good and strong. Very impressed.

So, I thought I’d give a neck fan a go and as this one has an extra function with a cooler plate at the back it caught my eye. As with all Amazon deliveries, it arrived in good time. And I put it on charge right away. I have it on now and the blower on its lowest speed is ample right now. The sound is a bit annoying but, what fan blowing wind towards your ears is going to be silent ? The cooler is wonderful. I don’t think I’ll need that on much of the time, maybe just to begin with - when putting the neck fan on for fast relief in hot weather or exertion. I can imagine sports people, gym bunnies and runners etc would get a lot from this and also a great relief tool for ladies of a certain age who are experiencing hot flushes. Run time says 3-15 hours. I’d imagine that 3 hours would be if the fan and cooling function were on their top settings. As low is fine for me, I should get a good long use between charging . Hopefully the cells inside it will stand the test of time! We will see. I’m suitably impressed and cooled!

The PluvoFan 6000mAh Neck Fan is great for indoor airsoft between games. The bladeless design is safe and comfortable, and the cooling plate with cold compress really helps cool me down quickly after intense rounds. The 6000mAh battery lasts me the whole evening, but drains quite quickly when the fans and cooling plate are on full blast - they combined are quite powerful, so provide nice cooling relief. It’s easy to wear without feeling bulky. Perfect for staying cool during high-intensity activities like airsoft! Highly recommend.

what can i say about this item other than fantastic ,bought for my wife who is a head chef with the hot weather decided she needed something to keep her cool it worked perfectly and lasted a 10 hour shift on cold blower if you put the ice pack on at the back it does take a lot of the battery life but other than that fantastic item worth the money

Delivered on time, instructions easy to understand, use the item over several days, I found it to be a bit noisy while trying to listen to music or TV, power wise enough cold air to keep you cool

Bought this for a summer holiday in Florida and it was a god send! My experience was that I found the cooling plate to do a decent job of helping to keep me feel cooler, with the fans also helping. I did not find it uncomfortable at all, and had to fight the rest of my family to use it! Fan was a little noisy, but not unbearable. Battery life was also decent, and when empty recharged from a power bank pretty quickly. I did also purchase a different neck fan for the trip which folded, but we found this was a much superior product with better battery life and ease of use.

A great little life saver! I have a chronic illness, and I overheat and can get very tired, very suddenly in the heat. I attended my daughter's sporting event and cruised through, thanks to this gadget! It was held indoors, in a crowded space, in humid summer heat. I had no problems! The cold conduction plate does work very well, and while I wish the outlet for the air was slanted more towards my neck than straight up, this still keeps me very cool. You will have a mechanical fan sound. That's a given, as you have a working fan on your neck. There will be wind noise in your ears. This is great as white noise, but can really bother some people. I've found if you cover the last outlet, it doesn't blow in your ears as much, so a wee bit of electrical tape, and no more wind in the ears! I even found this great for doing dishes - having your hands in hot water in the summer - wearing the AC fan really helps make this a more pleasant chore! I have found the highest AC setting with lowest fan lasts a couple hours at least, and the lowest fan and AC lasted me two hours in a crowded gym on an 80 degree humid day, and I was very comfortable - and it left me with 65% battery to spare. I haven't owned this long enough to test time and battery power on other settings, but so far this is a very promising device!

Works great, sadly I got the 4400 mAh version despite buying it new (not as new or used, because I read in the description that it could be the 4400 mAh version then instead of the 6000 mAh version). My main reason I picked this item was the battery capacity so it's 3.5/5 stars for me (but I'll round up).

W tej cenie znośnie głośny wiadomo że na najwyższym trybie wiatraki słychać ale na 1 jest ok. Bateria przy najbardziej komfortowym dla mnie ustawieniu czyli 1 tryb wiatraków i 3 tryb płytki wystarcza na jakieś +/- 4 godziny. Jedyne do czego możnaby się przyczepić to średnica, jak dla mnie nieco za mała przez co daje głównie w uszy i boki a nie w twarz

I’ve only used this neck fan about five times, and while it worked well initially, it unfortunately stopped holding a charge very quickly. For an $80 product, I didn’t expect it to fail so soon, so that was really disappointing. On the positive side, the cooling plate at the back of the neck was genuinely effective, and I loved that the blade-less design meant my hair never got caught - something that has happened with other neck fans I’ve tried. It was comfortable to wear and cooled well while it lasted. However, the charging fault made it unusable after such a short time, so clearly the unit I received was faulty. I did receive a refund after contacting the supplier, but it’s still a shame as I had high hopes for it.
