Wish I would of invested in this thing sooner!
Wish I would have bought this years ago. Couldn’t see me spending this much on a vacuum when we have one that’s perfectly fine. We also have a robot vacuum, but I use this daily and it’s quick and easy to use. Grab it off the charger and vacuum up whatever mess is left behind from 2 small kids and dog. Honestly I use this more than my shark 2/1 mop vacuum combo. Maybe it’s my adhd where I can’t sit still but it was totally worth the investment. Also the first week we had it both of my 10 and 8 year olds were fighting to see who vacuums. Since then it’s not as cool but they can use it with ease. That’s a plus for parents who are giving chores to kids. It is light enough my 8 year old can easily carry it and vacuum the steps.

Best Vacuum I’ve ever purchased!
This is by far the best vacuum I’ve ever owned. The suction is stronger than the cord vacuums I’ve owned including a cord Dyson I have which I was very disappointed in after I bought it but I thought I’d give it another try and this cordless one made up for the first Dyson. The three power levels are super useful. I use eco when doing bathroom rugs, Boost for heavy pickups and Med for everything else in between! Switching between all three power levels, I’m able to clean my entire house on one charge and I have a 3200 sqft home. Emptying out the vacuum is very easy and the attachment tool make it easy to get hard to reach area like cleaning out my vehicle. Not sure why anyone would give this vacuum anything other than 5 stars.

Winner! This is the one! Get it!
Purchased December 2023, for about $400 through Amazon (Dyson's website had the same holiday price). I didn't initially want to spend this much money on a vacuum but we have little kids, and use the vacuum a lot, so I'm glad we got a quality vacuum that works for us. Totally worth it! We did a lot of research and finally landed on the Dyson V11 Cordless Stick Vaccum. We previously had a stand up Shark pet pro vacuum but this blows that out of the water!! We vacuumed areas that have been previously vacuumed with the other vacuum but the dyson picked up SO MUCH DUST/DIRT! Where was all that dirt hiding??! 👀 The vacuum has a little weight to it, but even with a fractured arm, I'm still able to maneuver it a little awkwardly with a bit of extra support. Be aware that you have to hold the power button down the entire time while you vacuum- there is no just "on" switch. This is to conserve battery life. As soon as you finger comes off the trigger, power goes off. The switch doesn't require tons of pressure so I'm not sure why people are complaining about their hands hurting from holding the button. 🤷🏼♀️ My nearly 4 year old can hold the vacuum, power button down and maneuver it on his own (not as fast or agile as an adult, but by himself nonetheless)- if that gives you an idea for weight. The suction is powerful and has several levels to pick from that affect the battery life (which will show you on a digital display how much run time you have based on the level of suction power you select) , emptying the dustbin is easy. And with the vacuum being cordless my husband is even excited to vacuum now! If you're on the fence- spend the money, make your life a little easier and get something quality that will do a great job cleaning and last a long time.

This vacuum SUCKS! in the best possible way
My Dyson stick vac died. Well I probably murdered it, I have huskies and after 10 years of service it could take no more. So I needed a new vacuum. I tried 4 other brands before going back to Dyson. The only vacuum that came even close to the suction of this on was a shark but the high pitched ululation of the motor was enough to make my ears bleed so back it went. This little vacuum is flat out amazing. Dyson’s build quality is top notch and the placement of the on switch make sense unlike som others where the on switch is on the back or top. I also appreciate that it only stays on while depressing the trigger so you are only running the motor when you need it instead of needlessly wasting the battery life. Speaking of which, the battery will run around 45 min on medium power, and 15-20 on high. Since this is a stick vac meant for spot cleaning and dust bunnies (or in my case, tumbleweeds of dog fur) I am perfectly content with 15 minutes of battery life. I’ll grab my big vac if I need to cover more area. The dust cup is a decent size and is easy to empty. The filters are easy to get to and to clean. The wall bracket is convenient for storage of the vacuum and two of your most used tools. It’s not horribly loud even on high and wow the suction on this thing is amazing. If my last Dyson was any indicator, this vac should last me a good long time. In this day of planned obsolescence that’s so hard to find. TLDR: expensive but worth it.

Great second vacuum, but not perfect
Let me start off my saying this isn't my primary vacuum. For that, I have a Miele C2+. However, that can be hard to maneuver and is a burden for small, quick messes or cleaning between deep vacuuming. Also second disclosure, I've only used this on its default setting of "medium" so anything I mention about battery life will not discuss the different power settings. So with that said, the Dyson V11 is a good addition to the fleet and a good second vacuum. I have a smallish house so I could see vacuuming maybe half of it on medium power; most of the house is carpet, though, so I don't think using the light setting would get things clean enough. With two dogs that both shed a decent amount, I usually fill the canister to its "max fill" line every time I vacuum so keep that in mind if you have shedding pets. Could you theoretically jam more in there before emptying it? Absolutely. However, I don't know if that would cause damage or just make emptying the bin that much harder. Now, because I mentioned the bin, let's move on to that. Overall, it's pretty easy to empty: pull off whatever attachment you're using, point the end over a trashcan, and engage the red lever on the bottom of the bin. Simple, right? Well, not so fast: remember how I said I have dogs? Yeah, their fur and my wife's long hair both tend to get stuck on I'm not even sure what, meaning I have to reach in and pull out part of whatever is in the bin. Most of it slides out easily, but not everything as Dyson's advertising claims. I have a much older Dyson stick vac, maybe first or second gen (doesn't really work much anymore), and the V11 is definitely easier to empty. Just not as "point and shoot" as Dyson would have you believe. Maybe if you don't have pets or long hair. I like how on this generation of stick vac, the power head actually has a motor in it. My old one spun the carpet beater on the vacuum's suction, which caused it to stop quite frequently. The downside is that it doesn't have a mode where you're not running the beater, like on hard floors. This doesn't really bother me much because my hard floors consist of peel-and-stick tiles and laminate "wood." I'm not sure if the beater could scratch read wood floors, but I doubt it. From what I've been able to observe, nothing seems to get wound around the beater; it's well-designed in that way. Maybe the errant long thread/string from something, but hairs and such at least don't get wrapped around it. Another downside to the carpet head is that when the beater knocks around things that for whatever reason don't get sucked up, it gets spewed around the room. My Miele includes a rubber bar to minimize this from happening: it's not perfect, but it's better than nothing. As far as maneuverability and weight, both are pretty solid, much better than my canister vac and easy for my kids to use (both kids are under 11). It's not quite as easy to maneuver the power head as I'd like, but it's much better than the old one I have. I'd hoped it would be a bit lighter than it is, but I guess I would've needed to step up a few models to the V15 my parents have to get it lighter (wasn't about to pay over $700 for a "second" vacuum). The other attachments that accompany the vacuum seem good, but I haven't used them. The two crevice-like tools (one is a proper crevice tool) are pretty standard. There's also a smaller motor brush I could envision using on stairs, a couch, or in a car, but I've used the regular floor tool on my stairs with no issue, but each staircase has at most 6 stairs so that's easier than if I had a bigger staircase. Overall, I feel like the Dyson V11 is a good buy. I bought this on sale during Black Friday for maybe $350US. I'm not sure off the top of my head what it's regular cost is, but anything more than what I paid would eat into its value proposition.

Well, it just sucks
Ok, it has excellent suction. But that is all. I truly thought with a brand that prides itself on engineering this thing would have been thoughtfully designed but it isn't. If the company had spent half as much time on the dynamics of the body of the vacuum as they did on the stupendous computer screen at the top of the battery it might be a gem. I'm 5 foot 1 inches tall. The stick is unadjustable and painful for short people. You have to pull the vacuum further back and it twists my shoulder and causes pain in the back. The top portion of the handle is HORRIBLE for anyone. You must constantly depress the button while vacuuming. The handle forces you to hold the vacuum in the same position the entire time you vacuum and the top part is extremely heavy, so it hurts the hand and lower arm. I would not recommend for anyone with arthritis or carpel tunnel (let alone.someone with non-issue). The heavy battery kinda rests on the forearm as it is above the stupid trigger handle, causing discomfort as well as sending a minor vibration through the arm that sensitive people will feel. I am susceptible to vertigo and this vibration makes me feel lightheaded while I vacuum. The most stupendous part.... It doesnt stand up on its own. So if you need to stop vacuuming to move an item, you must carefully lay it down (dont even think of leaning it up against something, the top is so heavy it will just fall over) Same with cleaning, once you detach the top from the bottom to empty it, the stick just falls over. ....also emptying is a mess. The stuff doesnt come all the way out easily so I always have to use my hand to go inside and dig dirt balls off the filter. Further the button to detach the stick from the dirt bin for cleaning is poorly designed and does not work well. No headlight. Horrible design. I feel taken for over $500. Decieved. Not the engineering I was expecting. Much preferred my silly cheap Fabuletta stick. Will not purchase Dyson products in the future as I feel the price for the product was almost scammed, thats how awedul this vacuum is. Half of a grand.....I alos will have a hard time reselling this thing because no one will want it with such a crappy release button that doesnt work half the time. Save your money and try a different brand. The only reason i didnt return it is because its impossible to repackage after you open it. Plus I kept trying to like it but finally have come to the conclusion that this vacuum, well, it just sucks.
