Rugged, easy to inflate
This HITHINKMED Alternating Air Pressure Mattress would be a great addition to any home with someone at risk of pressure sores. Out of the box, we immediately placed it on the max setting for half an hour, and after that it had filled to an excellent firmness. When laid upon by somebody weighing less than 200 pounds, the air did not dispersed into adjacent areas and stayed inflated nicely. The max weight listed is about 300 pounds. It seems durable and is easily washable. Our 70 pound dog ran over it with untrimmed nails and did not puncture the fabric (not an intentional experiment). It does not come with a patch kit; however, each tube can be individually removed by unsnapping the ends and separating from the pumping hose to be replaced. This is convenient, allowing individual tubes to be replaced if just 1 tube is damaged, rather than needing to replace the entire mattress. The pump/motor is nice and quiet which we like. The pump cord is nice and long and the pump hose is also long. It comes packaged in a compact box making it convenient for travel if needed as well. It does not come with a travel bag. It does not give you options for inflation time, rather, it is set at a 12 minute automated interval, which I wish was customizable. Finally, we found that the parallel tube design is much less comfortable than a honeycombed or bubble alternating design due to the size of the tubes (they’re rather large ~10 inches circumference, and about 3.5 inches in diameter. The alternating convex and concave waves along the mattress may be uncomfortable to some.

Goodbye Bedsores, Hello Cloud Nine: A Night on the Marvel Mattress!
There are mattresses, and then there's this piece of nighttime nirvana. As a caregiver, finding an air mattress that could offer solace to the relentless bedsores of my elderly dad was an Everest-like challenge. Then the CPR-type Alternating Air Pressure Mattress floated into our lives.First, the setup: The ultra-quiet pump whispers promises of a serene slumber. It's so silent, you'd think it took an oath of secrecy! Hooking it up was smoother than my morning latte's foam. The mattress itself? Imagine if clouds were engineered for therapeutic perfection. The active air extraction ensures a constantly refreshing feel, banishing humidity and the discomforts of prolonged bed rest. And the low air loss feature? It's like having tiny angels gently wafting air beneath you, preventing those villainous bedsores from ever forming. As for the CPR feature, it’s peace of mind in an emergency. Being able to quickly deflate the mattress for resuscitative efforts is a thoughtful touch, emphasizing patient safety.Within a week, not only did we witness a significant reduction in dad's bedsores, but his sleep quality skyrocketed. The gleam in his eyes? Back. The groggy mornings? Gone.To sum it up: If your nights are plagued by the discomforts of bedsores or the anxiety of long-term bed rest, this mattress is a godsend. Not for Everyone
This inflatable mattress was something I was hoping would help ease an elderly parent’s bed sores but unfortunately it was not as comfortable for her as it perhaps might be for other patients. For one thing, the mattress itself is very firm and stiff and even with sheets over it, it can still cause discomfort. We tried dislodging individual pads, but it didn’t help much. The air pump is very good for quick inflation and is quiet, however it took a longer time for the mattress to deflate even after we pulled the red tag. I still had to fold it and squeeze the air out which took more time and effort than I expected.Again, this might be a great mattress for others who are in pain, but it simply was not the one for our relative.
