I bought USB extension cable to create a product prototype. I needed it to act as a hub to get electricity to 4 lines, in a small space. This cable works BEAUTIFULLY! Because the base I made is a ring/circle I needed the extensions to be flexible. This flexibility made it easy to worry with, yet the casing is strong as do the connectors seen n sturdy. The female ends make a good connection with the pieces if equipment they attach to, and are not too difficult to disconnect. Great value for the money, and ‘handsome’ look. Contemplating making another one, so will purchase again.

My application was to connect two mouses to my security camera system NVR. I used an Ethernet to USB adapter* to extend the USB from the server rack about 80 feet to a monitor in another room connected by an HDMI to Ethernet extender.** (This works well btw) Since that left me with no mouse at the main unit, I tried this splitter which unfortunately didn't work. I had full use of one mouse but the other would only work with the buttons - no movement. I considered trying this before going with a different kind of KVM switch which will be my next choice. I know I can find something at a reasonable price even if it might require a manual switch. To be clear, I only took off one star since I knew there was a chance it wouldn't work but for the price it was a good experiment. I will be keeping these for other uses, like power splitters and they actually did work to connect two mouses to my laptop so it's probably something in the operating system of the NVR that doesn't work rather than this product. I bought this because I’m the decorative one at my office in my cubicle and I needed more usb plugs for all the little light up stuff that I had especially during the holidays. This was great to just give a few more spots for usb items to plug into and keep it all in a compact space.

These work well for my stereo and my laptop speaker systems. And..the price is very nice.

I used this to power two strings of LED rope lights that I installed around my tv. With this I was able to use one usb power box for both lights.
