Our dog loves everything we’ve purchased from this brand. These treats are much healthier than most. Some of these have just a single ingredient. They are freeze dried so will last a long time in an air tight container. Some of the other ones (like liver or rabbit) are good for training because they come in tiny bits. When this brand is his reward he is very motivated to do whatever commands we are working on. In fact, as soon as he sees the treat bag he immediately sits, lays down or tries to give us his paw before we even ask. 😂 Since we’ve been giving these treats our dog doesn’t really eat the cheaper quality ones unless he realizes he’s not getting anything else . He’ll take them but then just spits them out or “buries” them in a blanket. His nose knows the difference for sure. We are finishing up the other ones and will just be giving him better quality treats like these going forward. So far he loves the liver, chicken hearts and rabbit. Also, they do not smell bad to us humans and there’s no mess whatsoever. He has not gagged or choked on them. They have not caused any digestive upset and we do treat him several times a day with a few treats at a time.

I have a very spoiled, not so picky cat who who loves all the food and treats and snacks, but she is absolutely obsessed with these chicken hearts. The second I even touch the bag, she comes running from the other side of the house! Why I’m a fan (and so is she): The "Obsession" Factor: I’ve never seen her react to a treat like this. It has become my secret weapon for getting her to actually come when she’s called. Pure Quality: I worry about all the mystery fillers in standard treats, so I love that these are just one single ingredient. It’s a relief to give her something that’s actually healthy and protein-packed. No Mess: A lot of raw-style treats can be greasy, but these freeze-dried hearts are totally clean. I can keep a few in my pocket for "training" (if you can call it that with a cat) without making a mess. Perfect Size: They are the perfect size for a quick reward, and they have a great crunch that she seems to really enjoy. If you have a cat that is hard to please, give these a shot. The dogs love these. They are kept as a very special treat as the price is high. They do not cause any stomach issues and they are the perfect size for my medium and large dogs. The smell is kinda gross. They are very easy to use and store.

My 13 year old rescue dog was diagnosed with cancer a year ago, has been receiving chemo treatment, and is a super picky eater since; but he LOVES Vital Essentials freeze dried treats. My dog loves these. The smell isn't too strong. They are big in size, and the quality looks great. I would definitely buy these again to use as a "special" or "big" treat.

My Lab mix LOVES these treats! She is a very picky eater, as well. I toss a couple of hearts into her breakfast each morning, and they are the first things she eats out of her bowl. Excellent quality and are definitely a staple in my dog's diet. Highly recommend!

High quality pure rabbit meat, in little pellets. Worth 5 stars, but I gave 4 because my Dachshund isn't crazy about them. He will eat them when I entice him to. I give them to him as a protein supplement. He loves the beef liver and minnows. I can highly recommend all these pet snacks from Vital Essentials, they are of high grade and are good value. They don't have any strong odor, not even the minnows. Try them in the smaller trial packs to see how your pet does on them.

Yum Yum. Dog loved these treats. What dog wouldn’t love to eat a chicken heart? Price is very good too for this type and quality of treat. Treat was so good i had to buy the Beef Livers too.

Not exactly sure why these are such an amazing price right now ($14.49) as they regularly sell for $26 but my two bags arrived today. I immediately ordered two more at the same price. I have five cats who are crazy about these! Can confirm the correct size bag did show up. (3.75oz) Best before 2026.

While this says it's for dogs, I found it absolutely fine for cats too, and it's a much better bang for your bucks that the pricier, smaller "cat" bags (I do cut it in smaller pieces tho, and pour warm water over the bits to soften them). My cat goes absolutely NUTS over these chicken hearts, so I'm guessing the flavor is pretty good for pets.

Dogs loved it! Cat even stole one out of the dogs dish lol. It's a winner :) dogs can't eat chicken so I tested the heart. Highly recommended for freeze dried organs.
