I rescued a dachshund as a puppy and she was a few months from her 18th birthday. I have had a number of pets cremated in beautiful wooden boxes. However, this was my longest lived pet. And she warranted a special urn all her own. This urn was perfect. It has her coloring. It is also extremely sturdy and well made. I liked how the bottom is not just a bank plug that can come out and become lost. The bottom is screwed in. I never put ashes into an urn without a baggie. But I had my husband put the baggie into the urn and close it up. So, I didn't have to see it. Sometimes ashes can be upsetting. I love that this pup is sleeping. It fits snugly on a shelf and is a very nice way to honor a lost pet. It could have other uses rather than a urn but I bought it for that and I am very happy with it. I wish they made others with other dog shapes.

Whoever is responsible for crafting this is definitely a gift from God, because as soon as I looked at this urn I felt soothed. I really love the look and quality of this urn. I highly recommend.
