Clever packaging and good overall product.. saved me 20$ vs hardware store. Other reviews are correct.. the extra long bolts stick out quite a bit and are annoying. Not a deal breaker for me since I’ll use sparingly for minor yard projects but wouldn’t buy otherwise. Bolted components for the shaft vs a store bought singular shaft make it so that it feels a bit loose and upon impact you can feel it clink/shift in your grip a bit. The 10x10” size is nice and larger than others I saw at Home Depot 8x8

This product has a really solid square black steel tamp. However, to be able to package this item the three part metal handle needs to be assembled as one with large noticeable bolts. When the handle is connected together and secured very tightly or as best you can tighten the bolts(The bolts do not appear to line up well with handle holes and the nuts hard to put on the end) the handle feels fairly somewhat overall wobbly. If the ground is soaked this item can mush the ground somewhat flat. However, when the ground dries and hardens, it's fairly useless. The final issue is even if you tighten the bolts, the handle still a lot of free play. So every time you go to pound the ground there is a fair amount of recoil and your back and hands will pay the price.

I used around my new cement drive and walkway. Worked well, easiest way to build yard up and compact it. Just bolt handle together and bolt tamper on with 2 bolts. Highly recommend product and seller.
