OASE CrystalSkim 350 Skimmer

Was good at what it does. But stopped working with 40 days even though was using 1 day a week. Disappointed

Amazing product, however this listing is for the US version, which is 110V and UAE has 220V so this device will just overload and get damaged mine worked for 3 days before giving up, I did not notice the voltage rating sadly, Amazon was nice enough to refund me. Look for the UAE version or a 220V version of the same skimmer, it was amazing when it worked.

Small unit worked well for 30 minutes then stopped. Dismantled unit cleaned “not that it was in anyway dirty” but still would not work. Refund requested.

Not upto the mark.

Great piece of kit and cleared the surface up in just minutes as I had seen it shown on YouTube.

der Skimmer funktioniert in der kleinsten Einstellung bei meinem 450 ltr. Aqaurim ruhig und leise....das eingesaugte Oberflächen-Wasser strömt nach unten ins Becken.......bisher noch keine jungen Guppys bzw. Garnelen eingesaugt. Hat ja auch einen äußeren durchsichtigen Schutzring und nochmal ein Einsauggitter...die Silikonhalterung ist auch 1 A !

se ve bueno, solo que las instrucciones no son muy buenas, algo complicado de entender, al principio, salieron muchas burbujas y estresaron a mis peces y corales, pero despues de unos minutos se arreglo solo, la capa aceitosa que se formava hasta arriba desaparecio en 5 min! funciona perfecto para mi nano reef! solo estaria bien que mejoremn sus instrucciones.

This is quiet. The design is attractive. The size and shape are nice and non-obtrusive. The quality is "Best on the Market". It has a special guide for the cord; Other manufacturers don't have this, and their skimmers tend to detach from the glass and recontaminate the tank with what they skimmed so far. It has multiple configurations of the skimmer. I tried other skimmers and didn't like them as the suction cups fall off and create problems as a result. I agree this one costs more, but it does its job, stays in place, looks the best, is easier to maintain and is the quietest. The one issue that can happen to a new user is that bubbles blow out of it. This usually happens because some air is in the skimmer when first submerged. If this persists, move the body of the skimmer lower. Also, this is adjustable by just pushing down lightly and turning it. Lower power will make bubbles less likely. It pushes water straight down, and it is strong. If your tank is shallow or there is sand on the bottom, this could be an issue. One remedy is to put a rock or other object below it and turn it to the slowest setting. I would suggest that it might be too strong for a 10-gallon tank, as the 350 skimmer is for tanks up to 350 litres or 92 gallons. The 600 simmer is for up to 600 litres or 158 gallons. This was not going to clean up my tank, which was covered in duckweed. I needed to clean up most of that with a net. Then I used the skimmer to keep it in check. Depending on the amount of mess you have, you may need to clean your skimmer frequently. We are trying to remove plant debris, surface scum, and duckweed. This skimmer is strong, and I find it clarifies my water. Google "how to clean aquarium fish nets" and follow the instructions to keep your tanks safe. This skimmer is the easiest one to clean. I watched the videos on the YouTube channel "OASE North America", to see how to clean the sponge, and it is easier than I expected.
