She wants all the truth, but first she had to methodically weed through the lies. She’s my favorite character in the series because she is damaged but refuses to be broken, vulnerable but not weak, intelligent and intuitive. In the latest Finley novel by Debra Webb, Finley has to try to solve a cold case of a murder and a disappearance that are over a decade old. Lucy Cagle was an intrepid high school student, determined to investigate a crime syndicate and expose the bad guys just like her famous reporter mom did. But Lucy was killed and her murderer was never found. At the same time, Ian Johnson, a younger son in the Johnson crime family, disappeared, never to be seen again. Now it is up to Finley to find out if the two events are related and if so, how since she is helping her employer Jack investigate Ray Johnson for an impending case against him. There are a lot of very satisfying twists in this novel that had me wondering just where the story was going and how it was going to get there. But author Debra Webb never disappoints in weaving a tale that is complicated and that stimulates my imagination as it keeps me mesmerized in the story and the characters. Each character contributed to the story and none was more evident than Finley’s unassuming and kind-hearted father who apparently knew something about Lucy that he wasn’t sharing. I loved the dynamics of the characters and how Finley had to prod and poke at them to get to the truth. This is a book with breath-stopping suspense and sharp, addictive writing that kept me reading and guessing all the way to the end. With well-crafted and cleverly written twists, this book is absolutely brilliant and one of the best suspense books that I have ever read! With a compelling and multi-layered mystery, this novel had me intrigued, only willing to put the book down once I had reached the satisfying conclusion. But each has a unique purpose and importance to the story. I like that! Excessive filler with no effect on the story is just boring, in my opinion. This book is NOT boring. I highly recommend this entire series. I don't think you'll be disappointed. I'm ready for another! I can't wait to find out what comes next for Finley.

A delicious third book!
In the first two books, we’ve come to know Finley as an intelligent, dog with a bone investigator. She has had so much tragedy in her life but that has driven her to right the wrongs for herself and for others. This third book has some surprises and explains a lot about the characters that we’ve come to know. It was a wonderful book!

A fascinating story that is very highly recommended.
Thirteen years ago, a young woman is killed as she was working on her senior thesis. Within days a guy who was working with her disappears. The young woman’s father dies shortly after the murder. Then, her mother, a prominent investigative reporter disappears. Now thirteen years later her purse turns up causing the investigation to be reopened. It is Finley’s job to find out the truth. That is the premise of All The Little Truths (Finley O’Sullivan Book 3) written by Debra Webb. Like the other Finley O’Sullivan stories, the reader is taken through an intriguing investigation leading to a surprise ending. There are elements of organized crime and the secret involvement of her father. The villain tycoon from the earlier stories reappears and sends another guy to stalk Finley, with the intention of killing her. The story is very complex and proceeds slowly as Finley’s investigation unfolds. At times, the story bogs down with redundant narrative. But, Ms Webb is an excellent story teller and while the story moves carefully step by step, the evolution is necessary and the book holds the readers interest until the very end. There is a surprise ending and all the fine details come together is a satisfying conclusion, Then, there is a second surprise. All The Little Truths is a fascinating story that is very highly recommended.

Smoke and Gun
I very much enjoyed this 3 book audiobook series. The narration was extremely well done. The storyline was executed seamlessly. There were highs, lows, sweet moments and intriguing situations. It was very easy to love some of the characters and/or feel for them. I would recommend this to others.

Did we read the same book?
I thought it was over the top. Liked the other two, but just too far out there for me. Spoilers: Dad works with a kid? In his kind of job? Caged? Wanted to stay? House stayed fine for 13 years? Caretaker didn’t do yard work? Houser ??? Not reporting what he saw? Sorry, just too much for me

What I enjoyed was following some familiar characters in their journey. Taking risks, bending the rules just a bit, to get the "right" outcomes is right up my alley snd earns some head nodding.

A decent plot that went a bit off at the end. Too much sentimentality and an ultra happy ending kind of made it 4 not 5 stars for me.

The book was well written but I did find it a bit hard to finish having finished the book I am unsure if I would keep buying books of this author The plot was good but I found it a little drawn out and complicated and unsure how I felt after finishing it certainly not the awe and enjoyment I have had from other authors
