Probably best for smaller ponds
We have a 2500 gallon koi pond in a wooded are and string algae is an issue in the Spring. So we used ten of the tables (1 per 250 gal per the instructions) and didn't see a difference in a week. Is it breaking down the fish waste? That I am not sure of because that obviously settles on the bottom and are base is covered with river stone. I typically lower the pond in the fall and use my water vacuum to extract any fish waste. Unfortunately I don't have a bottom drain. So I won't know until fall if this product broke down the waste or not. I will continue to use the tablets until they are all gone and will revisit this post in the Fall and let you know if I see a difference in the long term.

Eats The Pond Sludge
I have a large backyard pond or water feature – 30 ft long by 10 or 12 wide, about 5 feet deep. My biggest challenge with this pond is keeping the water reasonably clear of algae. Over the winter, I get a buildup of dead organic material on the bottom, 4 or 5 inches thick. I can vacuum this out, and I do, but it’s a big job. I need a little “beneficial bacteria” help and this product delivered! One bag will treat 6,250 gallons, about what I have in there. I followed instructions and threw the pellets, one by one, into the pond where they quickly went to the bottom, into the muck. Within a couple of days, I noticed a difference as the green sludge began to disappear – it’s working!I was a little concerned to read in big letters on the package that, if used wrongly, it might kill fish, and that, if that happens, the company is not responsible. However, they do say as well, it is safe for fish and other aquatic creatures. Good news is, I haven’t had any fish die, nor have I seen any negative effect. As always when treating my pond, I make sure it is well aerated. That seems to be the most important thing. This product is working well for me and I find that the price, as these things go, is reasonable.

Convenient and Easy to use
🍃I battle muck every year due to the amount of trees surrounding my pond. It is netted in the fall however it does not prevent all the leaves from (getting in there and breaking down) leaving sludge. I was super excited to try this through the vine program because it is perfect timing to try, being spring! This bag is should be able to treat my 2500 gallon pond for 3 months, bringing me right into June, so time will tell. I like that this is a small investment to try (the price point (19.99/bag at the time of this review). Many other products come in quantities/large buckets. (I have tried liquid barley and enzyme powders in the past, and this is much more manageable this way)! I am immediately dropping one in the filter box that also fills with silt, which is so bad for my pump and is a bitch to clean! I have high hopes for these tabs and giving it 4 stars for the ease, convenience and reasonable price, considering.. I will report back to adjust this review once I see any results. 👍👍

Quick and efficient
I have a 5,000 gallon koi pond and was having problems with muck and sludge building up on the bottom. I tried a few different products but nothing seemed to work. Then I found Koi Pond Muck and Sludge Remover and it worked like a charm!I added the recommended amount to my pond and within a few days, the muck and sludge were gone. The pond looks crystal clear now and my fish are much happier. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with a koi pond. Here are some pros and cons of Koi Pond Muck and Sludge Remover:Pros:Works quickly and effectivelyEasy to useSafe for fish and other aquatic lifeDoesn't cloud the waterCons:Can be a bit expensiveSome users have reported that it doesn't work as well in very large pondsOverall, I would give Koi Pond Muck and Sludge Remover a 5-star rating. Still Muck
Unfortunately has not worked for my two ponds. Did not make a dent in clearing the water.

So far, so good
I have an indoor, in the ground pond inside my greenhouse, home to some rather large goldfish and koi. I do have a professional filter and waterfall and do add water occasionally. The filter can only do so much, and of course it has to be cleaned often.I don't drain the pond anymore, as the bottom is filled with large rocks, and the muck will settle alongside and under these rocks. Draining the pond a little doesn't remove much of the settled muck. That's where these tablets come in.These tablets destroy a lot of the accumulated muck, and the filter does the rest.I do believe having tablets like these are not only a great idea, but a big help keeping your pond healthy for your fish. It definitely improves the quality of the water.Though I've been using products like this one for years now, this brand was new to me. So far this brand seems to be doing a good job. Plus they are easy to use. You just toss them in and walk away. Not too bad a price either.

Did not expect the bag to be so small
I haven't started treatments yet so I can't attest to the quality, but the quantity made me giggle 😂. Bag and tablets are much smaller than they appear! Bag fits in my hand and tablets are quarter sized. Based on other reviews, I do have high hopes, but I'll be shocked if 1 little tablet per month actually makes a difference in my 300 gallon koi pond. Here's to hoping! 🤞🏼
