Why did you choose this product over others?: Fantastic product at great price. I used 2 coats on a large door frame made of bare wood. It covered any knots and imperfections well. Good value for money

I bought this to cover knots that were seeping through the paint inside our summerhouse. Despite two coats of this and several coats of white paint they are still visible, though mainly textured shadows, not the yellowy sap colour as it was before. The paint smells very strongly so you want as much ventilation as possible. I found it to be quite thin and runny compared to other primers so you need to be careful to protect floors and other surfaces.

I brought this to prime and knot block all my door frames and skirting boards as all fresh woodwork after a renovation. As a cleaner I see lots of people's houses where this has not been applied and orange rings form as the wood is still alive, I've learnt from others errors.

Bought this to use over new wood gave it 2 coats which provided excellent cover. Then tried it on old paint work where the knots were showing through again the cover was good, just overcoated with gloss and am very pleased with the results. A product that does do exactly what it says on the tin.

Used this on bare dado rail and panelling mouldings. 3 months down the line and no evidence of knots showing through so would recommend and buy again. Point to note though, paint before caulking as it reacted with the caulk I used and the surface of the paint crazed when in contact with the caulk. I used Everbuild everflex 125 caulk which is good stuff, so don't know if other caulks would have the same issue.

Although, the unopened tin of paint doesn't look compromised, it was covered in a smear of white paint, presumably/hopefully from another tin of paint, not the tin I purchased.

It was easy to apply but I had to use 3 coats of this to cover a dark wooden fireplace. It does dry quickly though so don't have to wait too long between coats.
