One of the Best Canned Tunas I’ve Tried
I really enjoyed the Portofino Solid Yellowfin Tuna packed in extra virgin olive oil. The tuna has a nice, firm texture and isn’t dry like some other canned tunas I’ve tried. The olive oil adds a smooth, rich flavor that makes it taste fresher and more natural. A little sprinkle of sea salt really brings out the taste. I’ve used it in salads and even just eaten it straight from the can when I was in a hurry. It feels like a high-quality product without any weird additives, which I appreciate. Definitely one of my go-to canned tunas now.

good value for money
I have had bariatric surgery and it is essential I get my protein and healthy fats into my system but in a little package, as I have a small stomach so I need protein and healthy fats that packs a lot of punch. This is the best product I have been able to find, by far, and also the most delicious. I don't even feel like I am dieting as it is so delicious I do not feel deprived. The olive oil is loaded with omega oils and the tuna is the super healthy, low mercury variety, much healthier and higher in healthy fish oils than albacore. The price is brilliant also. For taste, price, quality and health, you cannot beat this brand of tuna. BUY IT by the CASE!! Also, it is healthier to buy tuna in oil, no water, as our bodies need good oils like olive oils. It is only saturated oils we should avoid. With tuna in olive oil you can skip the mayo you so often add to tuna, as you won't need it.

Tasty Tuna
Very thick almost like total fish filets. Not overly oily oily. Not salty at all. So tasty I have not even added anything to it or used it for a sandwich. My kids think its odd dad just cracks open a can and eats it. Very good fish for sure!!!

Best tasting canned tuna I’ve ever had
I liked canned tuna in oil rather than in water and first encounter this brand of tuna in olive oil at Costco. I was hooked after the first can. I couldn’t believe how good and flavorful it was without doing anything additional to it. For example, I’ve always added salt and pepper to my tuna salad or it would be bland. Using Portofino’s, I enjoy it without any because it’s so flavorful. The tuna is moist (yeah, I know it’s in liquid, but if you’ve had typical tuna in water, you’d know what I mean) and tender. Of course it has some fish smell, but no more than a normal can of tuna. It is more expensive than the common volume brands at the supermarket, but in my opinion, it’s well worth the price. I highly recommend you trying a can.

Great Tasting, Firm Yellowfin
My only complaint is that I wish they’d put it in BPA free cans. It has a great flavor without being fishy. The olive oil tastes fresh, not rancid. I did get a few crushed cans despite it being packed tightly in cardboard and plastic. Also, the last order had some very, very dark meat in it, I’m guessing tail remnants. They need better quality control on that issue. The tuna is chunky and very solidly packed. Worth the price.

Great! Flavor!
This tuna disappeared from my local store shelves. So I bought it from Amazon. Excellent Flavor! Moist texture. Packed in oil, which preserves the flavor. Well worth the price. Do not buy if you want wishy-washy tuna.

Quality and flavor are excellent
Opened my first can yesterday. Tuna was solid and required a fork to pry it out, not pieces and chunks that fall out of the can with ease. All oil, not mostly water like other brands. Aroma was excellent as was the taste. Definitely my new favorite.

Odd Flavor
A few years ago, I discovered and purchased this product at Costco. We liked it a lot, thought it was a good value and ended up buying several cases. After Costco dropped it from their inventory, I found it on Amazon and have purchased it here two times. The first case was good, but the last one, purchased in June of this year, has an odd flavor. Both my husband and I independently concluded that it has a slight petroleum taste. We ate some and didn't get sick, but will be tossing the rest. Afraid to purchase more.
