These are very nice quality and work well. They lock nicely so that I don’t have an accident. Easy to use and access. They are a great size and very powerful.

This is the one! I've found the Flip Top to be safer than the style with the locking lever. The flip top won't go off in my pocket like the lever did. The lever can gradually move into the discharge position, and then you have hot pockets. All Sabre products are excellent, and are recommended, but this is the one I use. It takes slightly longer to deploy by feel, because the top is uniform and it takes a little longer to locate the flipper. In situations that might require its use, I find the flipper and hold it in my jacket pocket.

The biggest problem is that the bottom can come apart. The bottom is only held on by small plastic clips, which seam to weaken over time. One accidental yank on the pepper spray when the keys get caught on a pocket or something else will result in the bottom coming off. From then on, it's weaker and falls off more often. (I might try super gluing it on to prevent this.) Overall it's a good keyring pepper spray. The finger protection ensures that it never goes off by accident. I've carried this daily for about 3 years now with zero accidental discharges. It's a little bulky, and I do wish they made a smaller one as an option. And the gel is easy to use and aim.

I bought this for my sisters. We hung it on to their purses so strangers knew they had some defensive measures. It has a easy to use clip. The odor on it was very strong when we tested it out so no doubt it would definitely bother someone on the receiving end. It feels ridged and legit. Its very powerful because it shot out like 5 feet at minimum. Great value for money.

I always make sure my wife carries one of these when she’s alone. Great product, reliable and discreet. The black color is perfect since it’s stealth, unlike the bright colors that can draw attention. You don’t always want someone realizing you’re carrying pepper gel, especially if they’re up to no good. Pepper gel is far better than traditional mace. It sprays farther and won’t affect everyone nearby, including yourself. The product arrived in great packaging and has a 4-year expiration date, which is great. I’ve bought these before with only a 2-year shelf life, so double-check when you get yours. If it’s less than 4 years, I’d suggest returning it.

I ordered two of these pepper gels so I could test one out. This spray works as described- it is small and compact and offers around 10 seconds of spray time. I was able to stand back about 8-10 feet from a piece of cardboard I set up as a target outside and once I got the handle of where the gel would strike, was able to aim pretty accurately. A small note: when I first sprayed this, I noticed it aimed a bit more upwards than I was expecting, which meant I had to adjust down to get it to hit where I wanted. I do not think this is a product fault, but something of a small learning curve for someone like me who has never used pepper spray/gel before. While I cannot attest to the actual effectiveness of the pepper gel itself (I did not want to spray this in my eyes) the smell was strong enough to assure me it would be effective against anyone it may be used against. The UV reactivity also lasted for quite a while as I smudged some of the gel onto the back of my hand and shone a blacklight on it before and after washing. The glow is not bright, but it is markedly present even after at least two scrubs and a few hours and I'm sure would be even more noticeable if a larger amount was sprayed onto someone.

Sabre is a US made, quality gel-based Pepper Spray, unlike many of the Chinese ones available in the market. When it comes to security, get one which will not fail in an emergency. It can be carried everyday because of its small size and compactness. I purchased two for the ladies in the family to carry on their keychain/purse.
