This is a really yummy coffee and when it got outrageous to purchase it, I went elsewhere (Sweden) for my coffee. That being said, Gran Aroma comes back on the market at a really good price. Image shows the Keurig style of coffee pod (not Nespresso not coffee tabs). I jump at the chance to get it, it arrives and yes, the title on the box clearly shows - this is "expert" coffee (whatever the heck that means in marketing lingo). Nowhere do I find a clear indication that these pods are NOT for standard Keurig machines. Even now, looking at the box closely, there is nothing to indicate the "duck" on the box is not a duck. Keurig may have brought out a new system, I didn't look, and Lavazza may have patent infringed Keurig and made this alternate "duck" but this is a complete waste, as the pods can't be used with the basic, average, generations 1 and 2, found every place on the planet - standard Keurig style coffee makers. The only way to use these, is to open the pod and place the coffee in a Keurig style single service basket (removing the separator). The annoying part of the whole matter is that when you do that the coffee still comes out great (dangit- hence 3 stars)... so I am not sending the lot back tied to a rail. THINK before you try and feed your Keurig habit the "expert" way. I changed my rating from 3 to 4 stars as the packaging sucks but I found the best way to extract really good coffee using the Keurig single cup filter and paper liners. Lots of work but GREAT coffee!

The light Gran Aroma roast is perfect. Alas, I was so eager to get Lavazza that I don't notice that they are in pods, which do not fit our K-cups machine. Not to fear if you make that mistake (or decision). Use a k-copbholder to which you add your choice of coffee grounds. Then carefully cut open the top to the Lavazza pod. A small amount of instant coffee sits on top of a think circular filter. Empty the instant coffee into the K-Cup adapter, remove the filter, then dump in the rest -- the ground coffee. Enjoy!

I like Lavazza coffee, but this “expert” aroma top light roast was disappointing— I was expecting espresso, but was sent the 8 Oz coffee pods instead. It’s a very light blend and weak, even when using 5 Oz vs 8 Oz of water. I don’t know if these newer “expert” blends have less coffee per capsule ( I’m more accustomed to the Blue capsules) or if it’s just diluted, but it doesn’t stand up to milk. Even when drunk black and made with less water, if feels thin. I ordered a sampler expert pack in November when I bought my little classy blue machine, but it still hasn’t arrived more than a month later, so I can only compare this to the older Blue pods (which I much prefer). I’ve used Lavazza DEK and the Red Top class blend — both of which are excellent, richly flavored, and work well as either espresso or lungo— but this one was less appealing. I won’t be ordering it again. I hope the other “classy” pods are more in line with traditional Lavazza roasts, since Blue pods are getting hard to find.

These are not for keurig. My mistake….

Note - these are for the Lavazza machine, they arent K-cups. We use them in our Lavazza Classy machine and it tastes great. Half the price of Nespresso pods, which is why we switched.
