Good puzzle of the brain

I work with children who like this very much. It explains all parts of the brain and what it does. It would be even better if it it up according to each part and function.

Love it with all of my Frontal Lobe

One of my most prized possessions. I’m currently studying Psychology — self confessed Brain and Behaviour nerd, so this is perfect.

Excellent resource for A level

I was a little bit wary about buying this due to mixed reviews, but took a chance on it. As a psychology and biology teacher I wanted it to use with my A-level groups for activities to help them learn about localisation of brain function. I thoroughly recommend the model. It is made of plastic but it's rigid plastic, not thin and bendy. The pieces fit snugly onto a template and are easy to replace (you definitely don't need to replace them in a particular order, as suggested by some reviewers). The key, which is also criticised by some reviewers, is usable and refers both to the externally visible functional areas in the puzzle-parts, and to the internal functional areas shown in the sagittal view diagram. It is biologically accurate and clear. It will be a fantastic visual aid, and I can think of other ways of using it to help my students familiarise themselves with the functional areas of the brain. Four stars rather than five, because it would have been nice if it was a little bit bigger and also there is some very minor bubbling of the clear covering over the base of the puzzle.

Useless product

Given that the product title is "Anatomy and Functional Areas of the Brain", I thought that it would, you know, actually reference the anatomical parts of the brain, e.g. amygdala, hippocampus, frontal lobe, etc etc. But no it doesn't! I also agree with other reviewers in that the key numbering and colour coding are extremely confusing. So, all told, I found this model to be pretty useless, and I'm returning it.
