Very easy to replace!

I needed this as an inline shutoff valve for a water filter. The water filter housing would leak when I changed the filter cartridge every 6 months, so shutting off the water solves this problem. Both sides of the valve inlet and outlet are 3/8” compression. I used one side as a female fitting and the other side a male fitting. I found the threads to be tight especially when used with teflon tape. I have no leaks. The ball valve is tight and stops the water flow. Water flow can go in either direction. Everything is quality. For less than $10, and not being able to find this part at a big box store, I am happy!

These work where a similar one from Menards (Nibco) did not. As long as it remains dry, I would buy these again.
