I don't know how they did it, but this red corn masa made our tamales taste the way we remembered them as kids. Before we stopped making them, before there were parking lot veijitas in my town that made my mom's life easier, before we knew what missing out on that time together meant. Before dementia took my mom's recipe; we started again too late to save it. Every year for the last ten years we have been working hard to get closer and closer to that taste, to that place. This year, we closed the final distance with the red corn masa. Now our little gueritos running around, who don't remember a time without tamales, know the exact taste from my mama's kitchen. I really love the silky smooth finely ground masa. Great colors from the pieces of slightly different colors of red corn. My only issue is the price. Wish there was an option to purchase more and receive a discount. I used to receive 2 2.2 bags now only 1 sent. This is my 4th time buying. Thanks.

Masienda has the best masa I have ever tasted or used. Gorgeous, natural red corn color, combined with a silky texture and the authentic corn flavor is simply divine. Super easy to work with... Just add water! 10 out of 10 highly recommend!!
