Bought for husband as he does not use his car much he is very pleased and it is keeping the battery in good order. Our garage fitted the connections to the battery for us. Would recommend

My old car battery kept discharging after being left standing for a week or two, to the extent that my jump starter pack wouldn't bring it back to life. And even in more regular use, the battery was often reluctant to start the engine, especially on cold days. So I got this slow charger, and it certainly did the job, making cold starts a breeze, and extending the life of the battery well past its sell-by date. I like the staged approach that this unit has to reconditioning the battery, which initially sounded a bit gimmicky, but actually works. Up to a point. Eventually I changed the car battery, as even the slow charger has its limits. And I got fed up of waiting for the lengthy periods necessary to recharge a dead battery, after a holiday, when all I wanted to do was go out to the shops/to work. Anyway, it's a great little unit with a nice long length of wiring to run to the battery, thin enough to allow you to close the bonnet in case it's raining. The only negative is the function button, which sometimes requires an extra poke & feels like it will be the thing to fail if you use the charger a lot.

It's brought batteries back from the dead and charged up batteries that other chargers couldn't even bring a light on for. It's quite expensive for what it is and I'm not sure if it can be used as a trickle charger. There's also far too many choices in Ctek battery chargers that all appear to do the same thing, so I think they could be clearer as to what separates one from the other.

This is the industry standard for battery charging. BMW will sell you this EXACT charger, with their sticker on it, for more money, for no good reason! Intelligent charger, just tell it what battery type you’re charging and it will adapt accordingly.

Excellent battery charger. Does exactly what it says. Easy to use and the extension cable worked brilliantly. A must have if your car is not a daily driver.
