This is a top product and to me, worth every penny spent on it! The instructions were very easy to follow, were extremily clear and the model was very easy and a pleasure to make. When made, it is of solid construction. It is of ingenious design. Very, very pleased with the end result. I would recommend to anyone!!! A+++

This is such a beautifully crafted piece of kit, I felt it deserved a bit of embellishment so l lined the interior with sticky backed felt (£1 a sheet from a hobby shop) and gilded the front panel with 24ct gold. I also lacquered the external panels before separating them from the plywood sheets. This little jewellery box looks absolutely gorgeous and far more complicated than it actually is. I tended to lightly sand some of the wooden pegs so they didn’t jam half in during assembly. Full credit to the designers - it’s a long time since I’ve been blown away by a product.

There was a similar product by a different manufacturer which was cheaper but the reviews weren't great so I went ahead with the UGears treasure box - so pleased that I did as it really is excellent quality and the box looks great to the point I want it out on display. I bought it as a gift for my partner who enjoys 3d puzzles and he really did enjoy building this. It's quite fiddly which I think is good as I didn't want it to be too easy - I guess he spent about 3-4 hours building it to completion. We both think it's great and I will definitely be looking at the rest of the range in the future for other gift ideas.

My husband thought it a very interesting construction model to make for me. All the parts fitted together very well and was a pleasure to make. It is being used as a jewellery box.

Bought another Ugears kit for our son-in-law for Christmas, and he said how good it was. Then my wife's sister had a treasure box made for her by her son, my wife liked it so I said I would build her one. It arrived late on a Thursday, stated it the following PM and finished it on the Saturday late morning, so not long overall. Good quality kit, easy to follow instructions (just take your time to do it precisely right) and very pleased with the outcome. Does exactly what it says on the box, and I would recommend. Certainly will be looking at more Ugears stuff in the future!

This will be a long and detailed review that can help many prospective buyers. Firstly I’d like to say that I bought this product as a gift. I assembled it myself and gifted it to my significant other. I loved the process and my partner adored the gift. It’s beautiful and unique! Now, assembling the product was mostly easy, but there were definitely difficulties. It needs time and patience! I personally broke a key base piece that made the process more difficult but I eventually managed to put it all together. REMEMBER that when trying to take out the smallest or slimmest pieces, ALWAYS use the little tool provided as opposed to knives or excessive force. If you break something critical then you’re most likely screwed. If you follow the EXACT instructions, everything will be good. If you start growing impatient, I suggest you take a break and continue later, because each piece needs to be handled and put together perfectly for this to work. Also, USE CANDLES FOR WAX. This is VERY important. If you do not wax the pieces you’re instructed to wax, you will struggling attaching them to others & eventually the box won’t work smoothly. All in all, it’s so beautiful and so worth it! I’d recommend 1000 times! Enjoy!

I bought this to make as a gift for a friend, and despite it being fiddly, it was incredibly fun. I completed it over the course of a day and although my thumbs and fingertips are now red raw it was well worth it. The instructions are nice and clear, did have a little bit of confusion toward the end but it turned out that the mechanism was a little stiff. Would definitely buy again, whether it would be this exact model or a different model from UGEARS I am not yet sure. You don't need to be overly crafty to do this, just quite patient and inquisitive. Well worth the money!

My daughter and I spent a very happy day making this. I was amazed by the accuracy of the cutting. There are some intricate bits. Some steps require careful force. And some you have to really pay attention to the plan. Provided you go carefully, step by step, there is every reason to expect success. Ugears provide spare pieces in case you break one (we didn’t) and I read in their website that they will send replacement pieces free of charge. That’s good to know because it is certainly possible to break a piece. This is probably the best thing I’ve bought on Amazon. Top, top quality. Five stars. I’d give it six if I could!

Fattura e materiale eccellente. Taglio dei pezzi molto preciso, necessità di rifinire con carta vetrata pressoché nullo, prodotto finale funzionante e soddisfacente. Il manuale di istruzioni è abbastanza chiaro, necessità di un giustizia livello di attenzione ai dettagli ed effettivamente la presenza di un adulto (in caso dì bambini) è consigliabile vista la necessità di assemblare alcuni pezzi con la dovuta forza. Regalo fatto a mia figlia di 11 anni, ci ha messo poco più di 3 ore a completare il montaggio, entusiasta del risultato finale oltre che al piacere del montaggio. Decisamente più impegnativo del Lego, ma diversamente appagante. Consigliato

Lo compré para regalárselo a mi pareja. El producto llegó sin problemas y bien protegido. Se tiró varias tardes haciéndolo y disfrutándolo un montón, le hizo muchísima ilusión. -Las piezas se quitan fácilmente de la madera y encajan perfectamente. -Las instrucciones son muy sencillas y viene con todo lo importante muy bien remarcado. -Si por algún casual se te rompe alguna pieza, hay repuestos de las que son más sensibles de romperse. -Sólo necesitarás una vela para engrasar un poco algún engranaje, no todos. El final, como podéis ver, es precioso, adorna mucho y tiene un estilo steam punk genial. Los engranajes, al abrir la caja se mueven y es muy chulo abrirlo y cerrarlo. Ya tiene un tiempo y no se ha roto nada, ni parece desgastado, y eso que se abre y cierra muchas veces a lo largo de la semana. Sin duda volvería a comprarlo. Es un regalo genial. Espero que mi opinión te sirva de ayuda.

Super fun to put together, and very beautiful after completed. I think it took me around 5 hours and this was the first project like this I’ve ever done! I am an adult and I have a lot of patience, so I didn’t have any issues with breaking the small pieces. I just rocked them back and forth in the sheet til they finally released! I did struggle to put the last tiny pieces that hold the top down in all the way (the tiny prongs with locking edges) and one even ended up breaking from the pressure. So maybe sand those down a touch, since they’ll lock from the edges and it is a finishing piece so it does affect the overall aesthetic even though no one notices it, I know it’s there. Also my thumbs and pads of my fingers were ridiculously sore after from pushing all the tiny pieces in... I actually bruised. I wasn’t sure what wax to use or how as it doesn’t really specify, so I went with candles and left them burning so I could dip a toothpick in and spread it over. My cogs are all noticeably waxed but I chose to cover to increase longevity since I won’t be opening it too often.

Sehr schöne Bastelei mit beeindruckendem Ergebnis. Meine Erwartungen wurden übertroffen! Man benötigt keinerlei Vorkenntnisse oder zusätzliches Werkzeug. Die Anleitung ist absolut eindeutig, jeder Schritt wird präzise auf den Bildern dargestellt. Die Bauteile lassen sich mit wenig Mühe aus den Platten drücken und wie beschrieben zusammen setzen. Es werden auch Ersatzteile mitgeliefert, falls doch mal was beim Zusammenbau kaputt gehen sollte. Die fertige Schatulle lässt sich leicht über den Mechanismus öffnen, alle Zahnräder greifen mühelos ineinander, die Maße stimmen genau. Ich selbst habe keinerlei Erfahrung mit Modellbau o.ä. und konnte die Schatulle problemlos nur mit der Anleitung zusammenbauen. Statt des empfohlenen Kerzenwachs habe ich Sportwachs zum Einreiben der Zahnräder verwendet (aus meiner Sicht etwas angenehmer aufzutragen, hat aber keine Auswirkung auf das Endergebnis). Das Wachs ist auch das Einzige, was man zusätzlich zum Lieferumfang benötigt. Die Teile haben wie gesagt perfekt ineinander gepasst und ich habe weder das mitgelieferte Schleifpapier noch die Ersatzteile benötigt. Der Zusammenbau hat wirklich Spaß gemacht und ich finde die fertige Schatulle auch sehr dekorativ. Vermutlich werde ich den Bausatz bei Gelegenheit nochmal zum Verschenken bestellen.

The Treasure Box is accurately made and goes together as expected but is a good challenge. When finished it provides a puzzle of moderate difficulty. My grandson loves the finished box and really enjoyed putting it together. Recommended for anyone who likes a challenge and has some patience.
